Как whiten skin?

Pre-treat the skin to remove fat and tannin for an hour with gasoline at 40 °C. Next, the gasoline is drained and its residues are removed by heating the skin in a water bath. Then the skin is treated with sulfurous acid, java water or hydrogen peroxide mixed with ammonia. In all cases, beautiful white products with a light pink tint are obtained. After thorough drying, the leather is suitable for various haberdashery items, album covers, handicrafts, etc.

When bleaching with lead, the white color is obtained due to the deposition of lead sulfide salt on the surface of the skin. Washed skins are placed for 1-2 hours in a 0,5% or 1% solution of lead sugar (acetic-lead salt). Then they take it out and, without washing, put it in a 0,5% solution of sulfuric acid. In this bath they are left in constant motion (preferably in rotating drums) until they reach the desired degree of whiteness.

If you need to get a more intense white color, then the operation is repeated. At the end of bleaching, the skin is thoroughly washed.

When preparing a solution of lead sugar, it is useful to add a small amount of acetic acid, which helps to dissolve the lead sugar.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>
