Here are some of the most well known cooking methods. cement with caustic lime, the so-called universal or casein cement: fresh cottage cheese from skimmed milk, carefully squeezed out of whey, dried in thin layers and turned into powder. 10 parts of this powder and 1 part of caustic lime powder are mixed with such an amount of water that a semi-liquid slurry is obtained, which is consumed immediately.

Waterproof putty. For its preparation, 10 parts of caustic lime powder are mixed with 2 parts of water and 12 parts of whey.

Cement for indoor floors (for sealing cracks, crevices, etc.). Water lime is mixed with coal ash and water until a semi-thick, mushy mass is obtained.

Putty for iron (putty for steam boilers, iron utensils, filling holes and holes in iron) prepared from 30 parts of finely ground graphite, 15 parts of caustic lime, 40 parts of blancfix (barite white), which are kneaded to the proper consistency with linseed oil varnish.

Diamantic, or diamond putty, prepared from 30 parts of lead litharge, 10 parts of caustic lime, 20 parts of soap, 50 parts of graphite, mixed to the proper consistency with linseed oil.

putty for zinc consists of 20 parts of caustic lime and 4 parts of sulphur, mixed with 10 parts of hot glue solution in 7 parts of hot water; consumed fresh.

Finally, the kiln putty: graphite, sand, bone charcoal, water lime are taken in equal quantities and mixed with bovine blood or fresh wet cottage cheese; consumed immediately after preparation.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Compact cooler ID-COOLING IS-40v3 22.07.2016

Compact CPU coolers are experiencing a peak in popularity today, as many build Mini-ITX systems for themselves. Thanks to the development of modern processor architectures, such systems allow not only performing simple office work, but also playing video of any format, as well as playing games, albeit not with the maximum level of graphics settings. ID-COOLING has introduced a new solution for owners of thin cases.

The cooler with the simple name IS-40v3 is interesting in that its height does not exceed 45 millimeters, that is, it is compatible with almost any thin HTPC-class case - as long as there is an air intake grill at the cooler installation site or at least 10-15 millimeters of additional space . The body of the IS-40v3 heat sink is pierced by four heat pipes with a diameter of 6 millimeters, which are in direct contact with the CPU cover.

The cooler is equipped with a 92 x 15 fan with a rotation speed of 600-2500 rpm and a maximum performance of 44,3 CFM at a static pressure of 3,24 mm of water column. The noise level varies from 14 to 33 dBA. Using a standard fan allows ID-COOLING IS-40v3 to successfully cool processors with a TDP up to 100 watts.

The novelty weighs only 310 grams with dimensions of 101 x 93 x 45 millimeters. It is compatible with Intel LGA 115x and AMD AM2/3/FM1/FM2 platforms.
