Looking at this three-barrel backpack, you catch yourself thinking: how did you not think of this before? Indeed, in an ordinary backpack, even properly packed, all things are in one heap: in order to get something from the bottom, you need to shake everything out. Now imagine three separate trunks: one contains food, another contains auxiliary equipment, and the third contains warm clothes; then they pulled everything together with lacing - and over the shoulders!

On the middle section, wide straps or a machine are fastened: if you go on a short hike, you can get by with just this middle section.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. Food is like a drug 14.11.2022

Donuts, pizza, cereals, sodas - all these foods are very tasty and also dangerous for our health. In a new study, scientists came to the conclusion that ultra-processed foods can be safely put on a par with drugs and cigarettes - they harm the body and cause addiction.

A team of researchers led by University of Michigan psychology professor Ashley Giergardt, PhD, concluded that ultra-processed foods, which include chips, baked goods, candies, cereals, donuts, sodas and more, contain a huge amount of artificial flavors, canned food.

All this makes them very tasty, but also high in calories, fat, sugar or salt, which increases the risk of obesity or the development of other diseases. As a result, scientists came to the conclusion that all this makes the "flavors" more like drugs, because they, in fact, are far from natural in texture and taste.

According to Alexandra Difelicantoni, Professor of Health Behavior Research at Virginia Tech University, all of these foods were perfectly designed to deliver sugar and fat to our bodies. In addition, they are addictive, along with cigarettes, alcohol and drugs.

Studies show that in the United States, for example, such products make up about 50% of the total diet of local residents. They also cause obesity, make people more at risk of developing cancers such as colorectal and kidney cancer, Alzheimer's disease and others. Regular consumption of such foods will lead to an increase in blood sugar levels, which will result in diabetes.

Earlier in September, scientists published startling results from a study showing a worldwide rise in rates of early breast, pancreatic, and colon cancers - these foods were the culprit. In addition, Brazilian researchers concluded that one in five premature deaths in this country is also associated with processed foods.
