Chapter 7 Spy things

"In a certain kingdom, in a certain state, there lived a charming princess who knew a big secret ..." - this is how a fairy tale could begin. In fact, this is a genuine fact, captured in Chinese chronicles. The big secret is the secret of silk production. The princess went abroad wearing a wonderful hat with fresh flowers on her head. In the flowers, she hid silkworms, which she gave to her lover, an Indian. Thus, the silk was exported outside of China. This is a truly classic way to create a cache on yourself, dating back to the XNUMXth century BC.

If you want to hide something on yourself, you need to think carefully about everything, since the human body is limited in volume and the number of places where this can be done well enough.

First of all, it is necessary to answer a number of fundamental questions. Is the item you want to hide made of metal or other material? If it's metal, you'd better not carry it through the portal of a metal detector, for example, at the airport, unless you know for sure that it has low sensitivity. Remember that some of the latest metal detectors, which are usually installed in specially protected areas, can detect even a paper clip or the tip of a shoelace. It doesn't matter if you carry a weapon or something else. You don't want to be discovered. As noted earlier, one way to outsmart a metal detector is to shove your item inside another metal object.

What size is this item? Can it be hidden in some cavity in your body? Will it go into any item that you usually carry with you? If the answer is yes, then the probability of a successful outcome is slightly increased.

Finally, what happens if you get caught? Wouldn't it be better to send your item separately, by mail or as baggage? Or do you need it to be always at hand?

Let's see if something can be hidden on the human body, and if so, how to do it. Let's start at the top.

7.1. Mini stash on you

A natural hiding place can be arranged between the inside of the headdress and the lining.

If you have a bald head, you can skip to the next section unless you decide to wear a wig or headpiece.

If you hide a flat object under a wig, you can pass a superficial search, but never a real strip search.

If you have thick, long or curly hair, consider whether your item can be hidden in it. A handy thing in this sense is hats. Very light and small items can easily fit even under a sports cap. Small, flat objects such as microfilm, a couple of banknotes, or tickets can be tucked under the lining of your hat.

You can hide something in your mouth, ears and nose, but not for long. The mouth, the largest cavity in the body, holds the most, but there is a danger of swallowing a hidden thing or suffocating.

In some people who do not take care of their teeth, as a result of caries, a cavity in the tooth may form. In principle, it can be made on purpose. For example, Heinrich Himmler, head of the SS and the German secret police, committed suicide shortly after he was captured by the British - he swallowed a capsule of cyanide, which he kept in a tooth cavity.

You can quickly hide something in your mouth without worrying that it will be noticeable if you put this object in chewing gum. Chew it without pressing hard, so as not to spoil the hidden. Perhaps this will help you get through the security check.

Clothing seams are natural hiding places for small items. Hidden in this way can only be discovered with a thorough search. Remember that during a search, specialists usually miss the seams while shaking the clothes.

Good hiding places are shoulder pads.

When you have to sew up clothes after you have ripped them, it is important not only to choose the right thread, but also to imitate the type of stitch. Different countries use different types of stitches, and if you can't do exactly the same stitch as everyone else, it could give you away. In the same way, it will be noticeable if you redo the seams completely, the type of seam will not correspond to the company label.

A small item can be placed in a tie knot. Since the tie is a flattened tube, both ends are usually open. It will include, for example, a strip of microfilm.

Some flat items can be hidden in the belt. Open the seam, insert the object and sew with a precisely matched thread

If you're not expecting a strip search, you can hide something in your underpants. Another way is to sew a flat, thin item into the waistband of your pants or shorts.

It is possible to carry something in the rectum only for a short time, since sooner or later the object will come out of there along with the fecal mass

It's natural to use a wallet Many wallets are made from multiple layers of leather and nylon. By inserting an item between them, you will save it from a not too careful search.

Hollow heels can also be a good hiding place. However, not at all like they show in the movies about James Bond and the like ..

Don't even try to rip off the heel yourself, because you won't be able to reattach it so that you can walk and run and still have access to the hiding place. Instead, separate the lining of the shoe from the inside. When you get to the heel, cut a cavity in it with a knife. A cache equipped in this way can be closed with a hard insole, or with a piece of thick leather.

Flat items can be hidden between the upper and lower soles of the boots. However, do not glue the two soles together unless they have already been glued together. Sew them with matching thread. This will require a strong needle.

7.2. Secrets in a purse, a case and a suitcase

It is unwise to use bags, cases and suitcases for hiding places, since the double bottom is a very old technique that is easily identified on the first inspection. Only small items can be sewn into the seams. In this case, you must accurately select the thread in color and thickness and imitate the machine type of stitch. It is very difficult to make this seam indistinguishable from a sewing machine seam. When inspecting, for example, at customs, the first thing they check is handbags, cases and suitcases. And the specialists there, believe me, are excellent. During a search, the seams and walls are usually pierced, which leaves no chance to save the hidden object.

7.3. Caches in watches and other small items

It may or may not be a smart idea to use small items that you usually carry with you for a hiding place. To do this, you need to answer a couple of questions. First, how big should an object be to fit in a working wristwatch? Secondly, can you keep this little stash with you at all times?

In a fountain pen or felt-tip pen, you can hide, for example, small jewelry. For disguise, you can install a small ink bottle in a fountain pen to simulate its operation. But do not forget it by chance somewhere, for example, at the hotel administrator after filling out the form.

At the same time, it must be remembered that during the arrest all personal belongings are confiscated, and the detainee is given a copy of the list of these things.

It's a good idea to make a cavity in a pack of cigarettes, but only if you do not smoke and no one will "shoot" them at you. If you hide any small object in the cigarette itself, you run the risk of burning it, confusing it with a regular cigarette, or accidentally damaging it.

A loaf of bread can serve as a good hiding place. Probably, from fiction or cinematography, many people know cases when prisoners of prisons in loaves of bread were given saws for sawing bars.

Bread is cheap enough not to be thrown away, so buy two loaves at once, one for practice and one for work. It is best to use a pre-cut loaf, as a whole one can arouse suspicion and want to cut it. However, if you want to carry a weapon past a metal detector, this method is better not to use.

If you have experience working with electronic-mechanical devices, you can try to arrange a hiding place inside the roller of a typewriter. In this case, much depends on the type of machine. Some models are very easy to understand.

We talked about vehicles in the previous chapter, but one of the tools that they cannot do without is worth considering here. This is a car pump. Most pumps have removable end caps, while the inner cavity can serve as a hiding place. However, if we have to demonstrate the operation of the pump, remember that it will not run to its full length. And if you have to fill its entire cavity so that the hidden object does not knock, then the pump will not pump at all.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

KIA fuel cell car 08.04.2017

KIA Motors, part of the Hyundai Motor Group, intends to bring a hydrogen car to the commercial market by 2020.
Lee Ki-sang, vice president of the Eco Technology Center of the group, spoke about KIA's plans to create a car with a hydrogen fuel cell power plant.

According to him, a hydrogen crossover under the Hyundai brand will first enter the market: this car is expected to go on sale next year. Then, at the end of the decade, a KIA model with a fuel cell powertrain will be offered to consumers.
It is noted that such a development schedule is explained by the fact that Hyundai Motor Group does not have the resources to simultaneously design, test and promote several hydrogen cars. In addition, this will reduce the cost of creating a hydrogen KIA model through the use of already proven technologies.

KIA's research into fuel cells began in 1998, and based on them, the limited edition KIA Mohave FCEV was created, capable of traveling up to 690 km on one gas station.
