Stockrose pink (Stockrose ordinary, mallow)

Herbaceous plant, species of the genus Stockrose (Alcea) of the family Malvaceae (Malvaceae). In common parlance, this plant is often called "mallow".

Stockrose pink - a biennial plant with an erect stem, reaches a height of 80-250 cm.

The lower leaves are large, heart-shaped, rounded, palmate-lobed; medium - five-bladed; upper - tripartite; stem - regular; fleecy, up to 10 cm in diameter. In the year of sowing, it forms a rosette of leaves, the next year - 2-3 flowering stems.

The flowers are of various colors from white and pink to black, large, bell-shaped, up to 12 cm in diameter, with a double perianth, with an interpetal five-membered corolla, on short pedicels, collected in a spike-shaped inflorescence in the number (15) 20-60. Stamens numerous, fused with filaments into a cylindrical tube.

Pollen grains are multi-porous, spherical in shape, 116,6-140,8 microns in diameter (with spines). The pores are rounded, with smooth edges, from 3 to 4,4 µm in diameter, unevenly located at a distance of 5,5–15 µm from one another, the pore membrane is fine-grained, the thickness of the exine (without spines) is up to 5 µm. Sculpture spiny, spines large, conical, up to 13 µm high, with a base diameter of 3,4–4 µm, alternating with shorter blunt spines up to 5 µm long. The texture is spotty. The pollen is dark yellow.

Known everywhere, but only in culture. The original range of the plant has not been found.

Widely used as an ornamental plant. Blooms in the second year after planting. Blooms in July - September. It remains for a long time in the place of the former culture and even, as it were, runs wild.

For medicinal purposes, the flowers or, less commonly, the leaves of the plant are used to relieve coughs. The roots are recommended as an enveloping and soothing remedy for gastrointestinal diseases.

It forms a lot of pollen, which bees willingly collect together with nectar.

Ethnoscience:

  • Treatment of skin problems: boil 2 tablespoons of dried stockrose flowers in 500 ml of water for 15 minutes. Cool and strain. Apply the resulting infusion to problem areas of the skin with a cotton swab.
  • Cold treatment: boil 2 tablespoons of dried stockrose flowers in 500 ml of water for 15 minutes. Cool and strain. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and drink as a tea.
  • Improving digestion: boil 1 tablespoon of dried stockrose flowers in 250 ml of water for 10 minutes. Cool and strain. Drink the resulting infusion after a meal.
  • Strengthening immunity: Mix 1 tablespoon dried stockrose flowers with 1 tablespoon honey and 1 cup hot water. Stir and drink as a tea.

Cosmetology:

  • Moisturizing face mask: mix equal proportions of puree of fresh stockrose petals and honey. Apply to face and leave on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
  • Facial Toning Lotion: Pour 2 tablespoons of dried stockrose leaves in 1 cup boiling water. Let it brew for 20-30 minutes, then strain and refrigerate. Apply to the face in the morning and evening after cleansing the skin.
  • Hand cream: Combine 1 tablespoon mashed fresh stockrose petals, 2 tablespoons shea butter, and 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Beat with a mixer until smooth and apply to the skin of the hands.
  • Soothing Lip Balm: Mix together 1 tablespoon puree of fresh stockrose petals, 1 tablespoon jojoba oil and 1 tablespoon honey. Apply to lips as needed.

Tips for growing, harvesting and storing pink stockrose:

Cultivation:

  • Stockrose pink is grown from seeds that are sown in the ground in spring or autumn.
  • Seeds should be sown to a depth of 2-3 cm, keeping a distance of 30-40 cm between them.
  • The plant needs regular watering and feeding. Wilted flowers should also be removed to promote the emergence of new ones.
  • Stockrose pink blooms in June-August.

Workpiece:

  • Rose stockrose flowers can be used to make a tea that helps calm the nervous system and lower blood pressure.
  • Flowers should be collected in dry weather, when they are fully opened and the petals have not yet begun to fall. =
  • Dry the flowers in the shade, placing them in a single layer on a paper towel.
  • Dried flowers can be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year.

Storage:

Image Sensor ON Semiconductor AR0221 14.04.2018

ON Semiconductor has introduced a 1/1,7-inch CMOS image sensor specifically designed for CCTV and action cameras. It uses backlight technology. The resolution of the sensor is 2,1 megapixels (1936 x 1096 pixels), the pixel size is 4,2 microns.

The sensor supports shooting 1080p video at 60 fps. According to the manufacturer, the AR0221 sensor is the best in its class in terms of light sensitivity in low light conditions (among image sensors for industrial applications). The sensor implements High Dynamic Range (HDR) shooting through triple exposure with interleaved lines. The sensor operates not only in the entire visible range, but also in the near-infrared wavelength range, demonstrating "outstanding signal-to-noise ratio".

The sensor is equipped with MIPI CSI-2 (4 lines) and HiSPi SLVS interfaces. It can operate in the temperature range from -30°C to +85°C. For the external design of AR0221, an iBGA package with dimensions of 12 x 9 mm was chosen. The sensor is protected by anti-reflective glass.
