Common cutter, Falcaria vulgaris. Tips for growing, harvesting and storing

cultivated and wild plants. Legends, myths, symbolism, description, cultivation, methods of application

Common cutter (Falcaria vulgaris) is a perennial plant in the Umbelliferae family. It grows in wetlands and on the banks of water bodies, and also has medicinal properties.

Tips for growing, harvesting and storing an ordinary cutter:

Cultivation:

  • Site Selection: The common cutter prefers sunny locations with moist soils.
  • Soil preparation: Before planting the plants, it is necessary to work the soil, remove weeds and large stones. After that, the soil must be fertilized.
  • Sowing: Common cutter can be propagated through seeds or through rhizomes. In the case of sowing seeds, it is necessary to bury them to a depth of about 1-2 cm and keep the soil moist.
  • Plant care: The common cutter does not require much maintenance, but the soil must be regularly weeded and kept moist.

Workpiece:

  • Harvesting: Common cutter can be used as a medicinal herb or to make herbal teas. It is best to collect plants in June-July, when they begin to bloom.
  • Drying: Harvested plants should be dried in the sun or shade to maintain their quality.

Storage:

  • Dry storage: Dry plants should be stored in a dry and cool place, protected from moisture and insects.
  • Storage Duration: Dried common cutter can be stored for several months in a dry place, but it is best to use it as soon as possible after collection.

The common cutter is a useful plant that has medicinal properties and can be used as a medicinal herb or to make herbal teas. Cultivation and harvesting of the common cutter can be beneficial for those who wish to use it for medicinal purposes.

Latest news of science and technology, new electronics:

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>

Amorphous silicon carbide, ten times superior to Kevlar 13.11.2023

Scientists from the Delft University of Technology have presented an innovative material that is ten times stronger than Kevlar. This new material, amorphous silicon carbide (a-SiC), has strength comparable to graphene and diamonds.

Amorphous silicon carbide is a next-generation material that is superior to Kevlar and promises to revolutionize the field of defense and microelectronics. Its unique properties, including high strength and applicability in a variety of applications, make it a potential key player in future innovative technologies.

Kevlar has long been the standard in wear and abrasion protection, especially in body armor and helmets. A new substance, amorphous silicon carbide, promises to revolutionize the concept of protection and give new impetus to the development of microelectronics.

Associate Professor Richard Norte, who led the project, explains that the material's amorphous nature means a random distribution of atoms, as opposed to the ordered crystalline structure characteristic of diamonds. This feature gives the material not fragility, but a unique strength at the level of 10 gigapascals (GPa).

The professor uses an analogy: it would take ten cars to tear a strip of tape corresponding to 10 hPa. However, durability is not the only advantage. Amorphous silicon carbide is suitable for creating sensitive microcircuits due to its mechanical properties.

The researchers used a novel chip testing method to evaluate the potential of a-SiC. This technology allows high tensile forces to be generated by growing thin layers of amorphous silicon carbide and suspending them.

The developed material is easily scalable, unlike expensive graphene and diamonds. Amorphous silicon carbide has potential applications in space research, DNA sequencing, and the creation of sensitive microcircuits and solar cells.
