Dioecious tree 10-15 m tall, with orange-brown bark. The leaves are entire, cruciform-opposite leathery bare lanceolate with short petioles. The flowers are small, pale yellow, the female flowers are sessile at leaf nodes, the male flowers are pedunculated. The fruits are berry-like, yellowish-green, the size of a small cherry.

It grows in Thailand, Cambodia, South Vietnam and the Philippines.

In the bark of the tree and on the peripheral parts of the core, there are long secretory passages containing gum gum in the form of a yellow emulsion. To get it, spiral incisions are made on the tree trunk, cutting the passages, and pieces of hollow bamboo tubes are hung from the wound made (their bottom is a partition in the internodes). The juice flowing from the trees accumulates in these tubes, they are dried, then the hardened mass is taken out. The resulting product goes on sale in the form of hard but brittle cylindrical segments, 2-5 cm in diameter with a longitudinally ribbed surface, orange-yellow in color, darker at the break. This product has no odor.

Gummigut consists of resin acids (70-80%) of yellow color, soluble in alcohol, and gum (15-20%), soluble in water. Gummigut powder easily forms a yellow emulsion. Gummigut also contains garcinolic acid.

Even before Elon Musk became popular thanks to successes in the development of return space rockets, electric vehicles and boring companies, his reputation directly indicated that he was a man of a special mind - and today Elon Musk has officially announced that he intends to take on some other developments in the near future. In particular, today he, together with his closest team, told the public about his new unique Neurolink project, which is a conceptually new type of brain mini-implant, whose main function is to allow its wearer to remotely control certain devices.

And this idea is really unusual and long-awaited, since many futurists and technology lovers have long dreamed of such a thing - however, Elon Musk noted that so far the development is theoretical. However, despite this, the project already demonstrates some very interesting ideas - in particular, the Neurolink chip is based on the use of a very thin - thinner than a human hair - system of neuronodes and wires that are directly connected to individual parts of the brain and brought out through a 2 mm hole in skull.

It sounds rather uncomfortable, but given the use of the latest laser technology, it becomes clear that the Neurolink project has a right to exist. Especially given the fact that the first clinical testing of the N1 chip - and this is the name of the first prototype of the brain chip - will begin as early as 2020. So it is quite possible that Elon Musk's project will become the first unique project in the presented segment.

It remains to wait for confirmation of this information, as well as the one that relates directly to the preliminary plans of the Musk team on the Neurolink project - because it is quite possible that with the onset of 2020 the company's priorities will change and we will see not quite what we expect now. On the other hand, it can be expected that the project will be constantly developed and supplemented, thus becoming closer and closer to the technological future that we all look forward to.
