Focus Description:

The cigarette disappears in the nose.

Focus secret:

First of all, let's make a "cigarette".

We will need a wooden round stick 80 mm long and 7 mm in diameter. I recommend checking it out by trying on a real cigarette. We carefully sand it and paint it white. The paint should be matte so that the painted stick looks like a cigarette.

We make a “filter” separately. This can be a short tube of suitable diameter. It should fit tightly onto our “cigarette”, without excessive gap, but move along the “cigarette” without effort. It can be made of metal, or even glued together from simple paper and painted to match the color of a real cigarette filter.

We attach an elastic band to the “cigarette” in any way convenient for you. This could be, for example, a metal eyelet made from a paper clip.

We put the “filter” on the “cigarette”, pull the elastic band into the sleeve of the jacket and fasten it (the elastic band) in a convenient place, say, to the belt.

The elastic band plays the role of “pulling mechanics” here and must be carefully measured for comfortable operation.

If anyone has other devices for pulling objects into the sleeve, use them creatively.

Holding the “cigarette” by the “filter” and pulling the elastic band, we apply this entire structure to the nostril. We move the “filter” to the nose while hiding the retractable part of the “cigarette” with an elastic band in the palm. Having brought the “filter” almost to the end of the “cigarette”, we open our fingers a little and allow the elastic band to pull all this disgrace into the sleeve.

If, during all this, you sniffle loudly, bulge your eyes, moan (you can sneeze loudly and blow your nose into a huge handkerchief), that’s all, you are doomed to success...

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Explosives will improve the safety of electric cars 01.10.2019

Bosch has developed a new system that is designed to reduce the risk of electric vehicle battery fire and electric shock to people in the event of an accident.

Many potential buyers of vehicles with an electric propulsion system have expressed concern that in the event of an accident, metal parts of the car body could be energized. And this can become an obstacle in the way of saving people. In addition, in such a situation, the risk of fire increases.

Bosch proposes to solve the problem by using small explosive packs. Such charges in the event of a traffic accident will instantly cut off entire sections of cables going to the battery pack. As a result, the car will be completely de-energized.

Explosive packages can be activated by signals from various on-board sensors - for example, from airbag sensors. The CG912 microchip, which was originally designed to control the airbags, will be able to control the operation of the system.

Breaking the cables leading to the batteries will eliminate the possibility of electric shock to people and reduce the likelihood of a battery fire.
