An annual plant 15-40 cm high with a straight, branched, slightly pubescent stem.
The leaves are lyre-shaped pinnatipartite or dissected, with serrated lobes. The inflorescence is a rare long raceme.
The flowers are pale, rarely bright yellow with purple veins. The petals are twice as long as the sepals. The fruit is a pod, oblong, on short thickened legs, with convex valves, a sharp longitudinal vein 2-3 cm long and a long xiphoid nose. Seeds are light brown, arranged in two rows, compressed-oval-rounded.
Blooms in May - July. The fruits ripen in May - June.
Found as a weed.
Cultivated as an oil and salad plant in the Mediterranean and Asia.
The seeds contain essential oil, which is released after pre-fermentation (more than 1%). Its main ingredient is mustard oil.
The seeds also contain 25-34% semi-drying fatty oil, dominated by erucic acid (20-44%); there are also linoleic (12-24,9), linolenic (up to 17), oleic (up to 18%) and other acids, steroids (p-sitosterol, compesterin, etc.), thioglycosides. In the aerial part of the plant - alkaloids (0,07%), flavonoids (glycosides of kaempferol, quercetin, isorhamnetin). The leaves and seeds of the plant are used as a spice for flavoring meat dishes.
In the Caucasus, young shoots and leaves are eaten. The leaves are used as a seasoning for dishes in the form of a salad, young shoots are eaten fresh, the seeds are used to prepare mustard.
The aerial part of the plant has a diuretic, antibacterial, lactogenic and digestive effect; in the Caucasus, the antiscorbutic effect of the plant is used.
In Indian medicine, the seeds are used as an irritant and anti-skin blister; in folk medicine - for skin diseases, juice - for ulcers, freckles, hematomas, calluses, nasal polyps.

The stem is branched, up to 40 cm in height; lower, leaves lyre-pinnately dissected, all leaves are somewhat fleshy, scattered hairy, rarely glabrous, with a peculiar smell.
Sepals 9-12 mm long, obovate-wedge-shaped, whitish or gray-yellow with purple or brown veins, sometimes slightly notched; pedicels at fruits are rather thick, almost pressed against the stem.
Pods are oval-oblong or oblong, slightly compressed, not tuberculate, 2-3 cm long, valves are strong, with prominent median vein; nose 5-10 mm long, 1-2,5 mm wide.
Cultivated as an oil plant in Central and Asia Minor, Ethiopia, Afghanistan and India and grows like a weed.
In the Caucasus, the leaves are used as a salad, and the stems are used to make mustard.

The amount of the grant is small - 50 million euros, but we are still talking about the initial stage of work. The European Union hopes that 5G networks will become a reality by 2020. About 16 million of this amount will go to the METIS alliance, led by Ericsson. The members of the alliance expect to create networks that are 10-100 times larger than modern ones in terms of capacity, 10-100 times faster than them and characterized by delays 5 times less.
