Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. Persons at least 18 years of age who have passed a medical examination, special training, practical training and have an appropriate certificate are allowed to repair and maintain the electrical equipment of machines. Periodic medical examinations of personnel for the repair of electrical equipment of machines must take place once every 1 months.

1.2. Personnel who have been instructed in safety precautions and have learned safe working methods are allowed to carry out independent work on the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of machines.

Personnel for the repair and electrical equipment of machines when independently performing work on electrical equipment with voltage up to 1000 V must have at least III safety group.

1.3. In the course of work, within the time limits set at the enterprise, personnel for the repair of electrical equipment of machines must undergo safety briefing, coursework for an 18-hour program and pass exams for knowledge of the rules for the technical operation of electrical installations of consumers and safety rules for the operation of electrical installations of consumers.

1.4. Personnel for the repair of electrical equipment of machines must know the terms for testing protective equipment and devices, the rules for operating and caring for them, and be able to use them. It is not allowed to use protective equipment and devices with an expired test period.

1.5. The personnel for the repair of electrical equipment of machines during the period of work must use personal protective equipment (overalls, safety shoes, gloves, glasses, etc.) issued by the administration of the enterprise.

1.6. Personnel for the repair of electrical equipment of machines are responsible for violation of the requirements of this instruction in accordance with the internal labor regulations, if their actions do not entail criminal liability.

1.7. In the course of work, the following may operate. dangerous factors;

electricity;
moving parts of equipment;
moving parts of machines;
performance of work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

2.1. Machine electrical repair personnel must check:

work clothes, put them in order, fasten the cuffs of the sleeves. Work clothes must be in good working order and tucked in so that there are no hanging ends. Pick up hair under a tight-fitting headdress;
whether the workplace and approaches to it are adequately lit. The light should not blind the eyes. change of electric lamps to be carried out with the voltage removed;
hand tools and accessories necessary for work, personal protective equipment should be laid out in convenient and easily accessible places to exclude the possibility of accidental movement or falling during work.

2.2. Inspect and tidy up the workplace, remove everything that may interfere with work; if the floor is slippery (doused with oil, paint, water) demand that it be wiped or do it yourself.

2.3. Check power tool:

tightening the screws securing the components and parts;
serviceability of the gearbox by turning the spindle by hand (with the engine turned off);
the condition of the wire, the integrity of the insulation, the absence of kinks in the cores;
the presence of protective covers and their serviceability;
availability of grounding;
idling;
the clarity of the switch.

If you feel at least a weak action of the current, disconnect the power tool from the mains and hand it over for repair.

2.4. Connect the power tool using plug-in connections. In this case, it is necessary to check the contacts of the forced and leading inclusions of the ground wire (for a power tool operating under a voltage of 42 volts

2.5. If a malfunction of equipment, tools, accessories for the workplace is detected, both before starting work and during work, inform the foreman and do not start work until the troubleshooting. Defective tools must not be used.

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. In the process of work, the staff is obliged to perform only the work that is entrusted by the administration. If the safe way to do the job is not well known, ask management for clarification.

3.2. Control and adjustment work performed in the workshop with the machine engine running is carried out at a special post equipped with exhaust gases.

3.3. When installing and removing the starter and instrument panel, you must first disconnect the wire from the battery connecting to ground.

3.4. When working and adjusting electrical equipment on the machine, in order to avoid a short circuit, it is necessary to use a tool with insulated handles.

3.5. When working near the fan impeller, the drive belt must be removed to avoid injury.

3.6. If it is necessary to perform work under the machine, it is necessary to install it away from possible traffic, place safety stops under the wheels.

3.7. When working under the machine, it is necessary to use a wooden bed, placing it along the axis of the machine.

3.8. When inspecting the machine, use a portable lamp with a voltage of no more than 42 volts, and when working in an inspection pit, no more than 12 volts.

3.9. It is forbidden to check the degree of charge of the battery by short-circuiting the terminals.

3.10. Keep your workplace clean and tidy during the entire working time, there should be no oil, parts, blanks, scraps and other waste under your feet; during work, be attentive, not be distracted and not distract others.

3.11. Do not allow persons related to this work to the workplace. Without the permission of the master, do not trust your work to another worker.

3.12. Noticing a violation of the instructions by other workers or a danger to others, do not remain indifferent, but warn the worker about the danger or the need to comply with safety regulations.

3.13. Do not use ladders when working with power tools.

3.14. Do not transfer the power tool to another person.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

4.1. When checking the operability of electrical equipment after repair or replacement of elements, in the event of a smell of burning insulation, it is necessary to disconnect the electrical equipment from the battery using the mass button.

4.2. In the event of a machine fire as a result of a short circuit, it is necessary to disconnect the electrical equipment from the battery with the mass button and take measures to extinguish the fire using the available primary fire extinguishing equipment, notify the work manager

4.3. In case of accidents with people, provide first aid, immediately notify the work manager, if possible, save the environment in which the accident occurred.

4.4. In case of electric shock, release the victim from the electric current as soon as possible (using a knife switch, or other disconnecting device).

If it is impossible to quickly turn off the electrical installation, it is necessary to separate the victim from current-carrying parts using a rope, stick, board, other dry object that does not conduct current, or pull the victim by the clothes.

5. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

5.1. Store power tools and accessories in the storage area provided.

5.2. Tidy up the workplace, put it in a metal box with a lid or destroy the rags used during work.

5.3. De-energize the electrical equipment, turn off the ventilation of local lighting.

5.4. Remove overalls and other personal protective equipment, put them in a closet.

5.5. Wash hands with warm soapy water, take a shower.

5.6. Report any problems found during operation to the foreman.
