1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons who have passed a medical examination, introductory briefing and primary briefing at the workplace and training in the prescribed manner are allowed to work as a maid (castellan), as well as:

re-instruction;
fire safety briefing;
unscheduled and targeted briefings;
internship.

1.2. The maid (castellan) must know and observe:

device, principle of operation and rules for the technical operation of washing, ironing equipment;
the main types and principles of malfunctions of this equipment;
safe practices when using wheeled carts;
rules of internal labor regulations;
fire safety rules.

1.3. The maid (housekeeper) should not touch the electrical equipment, not eliminate the malfunction of the electrical equipment itself.

1.4. To ensure safety, the ironing room is located separately from the room where the washing machines are installed.

1.6. The ironing room, the laundry storage room must be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment in accordance with the requirements of the State Fire Supervision.

1.7. The design and location of the controls should exclude the possibility of involuntary and spontaneous switching on and off of production equipment.

1.8. The maid (castellan) must be guided by the requirements:

this instruction;
rules for the design and safe operation of consumer electrical equipment.

1.12. In her work, the maid (castellan) must use the following PPE:

cotton robe;
rubberized apron.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before starting work, the maid (castellan) must:

put on overalls;
clean the workplace and aisles.

2.2. Verify:

serviceability of ironing equipment;
availability, serviceability and reliability of fixing protective fences;
serviceability of insulation of electric power wiring;
sufficiency of illumination of workplaces.

4.2. Report all noticed shortcomings to the master.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Perform only the work assigned by the master.

3.2. During work, be attentive and not distract others.

3.3. Observe the rules of movement in the room, use the established passages. Do not carry out work on the path of movement of cargo trucks.

3.4. Do not clutter up the floor area of the workplace, aisles with goods and containers.

3.5. Use a ladder when working at height. Do not use random objects for these purposes (boxes, stools).

3.6. Do not leave running equipment unattended.

3.7. Carry a load of no more than 10 kg, use trolleys to move a load of more than 10 kg.

3.8. Eliminate smudges on the floor, do not work without gratings.

3.9. Do not repair electrical equipment yourself.

3.10. To avoid collapsing laundry bags, take laundry from the top only.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If equipment defects are found that pose a danger to human life and the integrity of the equipment, immediately stop work, if possible, disconnect the electrical equipment from the mains, take measures to eliminate the accident, report the incident to the management.

4.2. If there is a danger of an accident, take measures to prevent it. If an accident occurs, provide medical assistance to the victim, if necessary, call an ambulance. Notify management of the incident

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

1.10. Make sure that the electrical equipment is disconnected from the mains.

1.11. Tidy up the workplace.

1.12. Report all malfunctions to the master.

Environmentally friendly fuel based on carbon dioxide 02.03.2022

Researchers from the University of Cambridge, together with specialists from the University of Nova de Lisboa in Portugal, have developed a method for obtaining environmentally friendly fuel from carbon dioxide by electrolysis.

Enzymes secreted by bacteria are used as catalysts in this process. The problem is that enzymes are very sensitive to the chemical environment, and when it changes, they stop working. In this case, the process of fuel formation is seriously slowed down. Experiments conducted in the laboratory have shown that the use of these enzymes as a catalyst increases the efficiency of fuel production by 18 times.

The scientists were able to increase the efficiency of electrolysis by fine-tuning the solution conditions to change the local environment of the enzymes.

"Enzymes have evolved over millions of years to be extremely efficient and selective - and they're great for fuel production because they don't have unwanted by-products," the scientists say.

Thanks to the proposed method of utilizing carbon dioxide, scientists offer a solution to several problems at once. Firstly, in this way it is possible to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases, solving the problem of global warming. There is no need to spend resources on capturing and storing carbon dioxide, which is quite expensive. At the same time, the problem of fuel production is being solved, which is very important, and the environment is not harmed during its production.

The fact that scientists were able to select the necessary parameters of the environment for the electrolysis process and accelerate it with the help of enzyme catalysts gives hope that the proposed method of obtaining fuel will be applied in practice.
