Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. For independent work when cutting meat products, persons who have passed:

  • induction training;
  • fire safety briefing;
  • initial briefing at the workplace;
  • electrical safety training in the workplace

Workers must:

  • repeated briefing on labor safety at the workplace at least every three months;
  • sanitary medical examination at least 1 time in 6 months.

The worker must:

  • comply with the internal labor regulations established at the enterprise;
  • comply with the requirements of this manual, fire safety instructions, electrical safety instructions;
  • use for its intended purpose and take care of the issued personal protective equipment.
  • do not allow people who are not related to the work performed to the workplace.
  • know and observe the rules of personal hygiene, do not smoke at the workplace and do not drink alcohol before and during work.
  • comply with the requirements of the sanitary and epidemiological supervision authorities
  • Do not go beyond electrical equipment fences.
  • know the methods and scheme of cutting meat carcasses.
  • keep the workplace clean and tidy.
  • be able to provide first aid to victims, use fire extinguishing equipment, call the fire brigade in the event of a fire.

1.2. For non-compliance with the safety requirements set forth in this manual, the worker is liable in accordance with applicable law.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Get instructions on labor protection from the foreman when performing new types of work and changing working conditions.

2.2. Verify:

  • cleanliness and serviceability of special clothing, put on and fasten it with all buttons, remove hair under a headdress;
  • the availability of serviceable tools and fixtures;
  • availability of fire-fighting equipment and access to it;
  • availability and serviceability of alarm equipment, fences, safety and blocking devices;
  • grounding reliability.

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. The worker is obliged.

  • constantly monitor the serviceability of the equipment and do not work with removed or faulty guards, interlocks and other devices that ensure labor safety, and insufficient illumination of the workplace, do not touch the moving mechanisms and rotating parts of the machine, as well as live parts of the equipment that are energized ;
  • keep the workplace in order and cleanliness, prevent it from being cluttered with parts, waste and garbage.

Be attentive, do not get distracted and do not distract others.

3.2. In case of feeling unwell, the worker is obliged to stop work, bring the workplace to a safe condition, seek medical help and inform the foreman about this.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In case of noticed malfunctions of the equipment and tools used or the creation of an emergency situation during the performance of work, the worker must:

  • stop work;
  • warn workers of the danger;
  • immediately notify the foreman of the site and contribute to the elimination of the emergency, as well as their investigation in order to develop emergency response measures;
  • eliminate the most urgent malfunctions in compliance with the safety requirements set forth in the labor protection instructions;
  • in case of accidents with people, provide them with first aid, immediately notify the master, save the situation.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. Tidy up the workplace (clean the equipment and tools from dirt and dust, collect and take garbage and waste to the designated place, collect and put the tools, fixtures and raw parts in the designated place, hand over the processed parts to the warehouse.

5.2. Install fences and safety signs at open openings, openings and hatches.

5.3. Turn off local lighting.

5.4. Remove and put special clothes in the closet, wash hands and face with soap and water, take a shower. Do not use chemicals for washing.
