31. The transporter is obliged to inform the foreman about all the shortcomings and malfunctions found during the check and inspection and not to start work until they are eliminated.

Occupational safety requirements during work

32. The conveyor must be started by the conveyor within 1-2 minutes after the set signals are given about the readiness of the mechanisms adjacent to it for launch.

33. The start-up warning signals should only be given with the permission of the shift foreman.

Any incomprehensible signal should be perceived as a signal "Stop!"

34. After starting, the conveyor must check the operation of the conveyor at idle, while the belt should not slip to one side, have distortions, have sagging sections and touch certain parts of the conveyor structure when moving. The tension of the conveyor belt is determined by the traction capacity of the friction drive, the deflection of the sagging sections, and dynamic loads.

35. Before starting the technological process, the transporter must put on protective personal protective equipment.

36. When conducting the technological process, the conveyor is obliged:

  • maintain and ensure the smooth operation of the conveyors of the working area;

All these works are allowed to be carried out only after the conveyor has been completely stopped, with the engine disconnected from the mains, the fuses removed by the electrician or the starter break plugs removed, the alarm turned on and the prohibiting inscription "Do not turn on - people are working!" is installed on the starter. Adjacent units must also be turned off.

38. All preventive and repair work is carried out only in the presence of the master.

39. The tools, safety devices and all other means of protection used in the production of repair work must be examined and tested within the established time limits in accordance with the current rules and regulations, have a stamp indicating the serial number, date of the next test.

It is forbidden to use faulty devices, means of protection, as well as devices with expired testing and examination dates.

40. Before starting repair work, the safety devices must be inspected by the conveyor using these devices.

41. When performing repair work at a height of 1,3 m or more from the ground or ceiling without fences, the transporter must use serviceable protective equipment.

The use of wooden ladders longer than 5 m is prohibited.

42. When rubber-fabric tapes of the RTL type break, in order to obtain high strength, the connection of the ends of the tape must be carried out by hot vulcanization with cutting the ends of the rubber-fabric and cable tapes.

43. When preparing rubber-fabric tapes for connecting the ends by vulcanization, a stepped oblique cutting at an angle of 20 ° along the gaskets should be used, and for a rubber-cable - a two-stage layout of the cords of each end of the tape.

44. The mechanical connection of conveyor belts is allowed only for discontinuous conveyors.

45. After inspection or completion of repair work, the transporter is obliged to remove all tools, spare parts and other foreign objects from the conveyor.

46. The conveyor installation must be put into operation after repair only with the permission and in the presence of the foreman (mechanic).

Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

47. In the event of a conveyor malfunction (breakage of traction devices, breakage, slipping, skew or slipping of the belt to the side, jamming of pieces of material between the unloading tray and the carrier element, detection of metal or other foreign objects, etc.), it is necessary to give emergency light and sound signals and turn off the conveyor installation.

Inform the foreman about the reasons for stopping the conveyor installation and do not start the start until the malfunction is eliminated.

48. In case of accidents, give emergency stop signals, stop the conveyor and start providing first aid to the victim.

49. Start the conveyor after an emergency stop only after the permission of the foreman or mechanic in the prescribed manner.

Occupational safety requirements at the end of work

50. After receiving a general signal about the end of the work of the crushing and screening plant, the conveyor must:

  • give the established light and sound signals about the end of the acceptance of materials and the end of work;
  • complete the transportation of the material on the conveyors;
  • stop the conveyor installation;
  • inspect all nodes of the conveyor installation, check the serviceability of the belt. Faults identified during the inspection should be eliminated, and if it is impossible to eliminate them on their own, report this to the master. After cleaning, inspection and troubleshooting, it is necessary to lubricate all components of the conveyor installation;

tidy up your workspace:

  • remove material spills, large and frozen masses, unnecessary fixtures and foreign objects;
  • put the tool in a special place in the cab;
  • check and put in order personal protective equipment, overalls and safety shoes;
  • take a shower or wash your face and hands with warm water and soap;
  • report to the foreman about the end of work and the operation of the conveyor during the shift.

51. During shift operation of the crushing and screening plant, transfer the shift to the shifter, inform him about the operation of the conveyor, the material entering the conveyor, the records in the log of the conveyor plant, possible cases of an emergency, violations of labor protection and the measures taken.

The delivery and acceptance of a shift should be carried out in the presence of a foreman or foreman.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Navigation system for firefighters 26.01.2021

Every year, hundreds of firefighters die worldwide, and tens of thousands are injured and maimed. One of the main reasons for such sad statistics is thick smoke. With heavy smoke, people risk getting lost and trapped. To remedy the situation, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Science and Technology has teamed up with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to create a new navigation technology. The development allows you to more accurately determine the location of people in burning buildings.

The transmitters and the POINTER command station were deployed in a 5-storey building with an area of about 750 square meters. The design imitated a residential five-story building. The command station tracked the movement of transmitters inside the building at a distance of up to 70 meters.

The POINTER system was able to accurately locate the transmitters to within 1 meter in XNUMXD space. But in most cases, the error was several tens of centimeters. The transmitter itself is a device the size and weight of a conventional mobile phone.

Many existing tracking technologies use GPS, Ultra-Wideband, or other identification methods that depend solely on the location of the radio unit. The effectiveness of such systems is greatly reduced indoors.

POINTER works in a completely different way. The system uses magneto-quasi-static fields for orientation in three-dimensional space and tracking beacons with an accuracy of up to a meter. High accuracy is especially important in heavy smoke conditions. It not only allows for better real-time coordination, but also saves valuable time when a person is injured or lost.

The launch of the POINTER system is scheduled for 2022.
