Safe Operation

1. General provisions

1.1. An elevator dispatch operator belongs to the category of technical performers.

1.2. A person who has primary vocational education without requirements for work experience or secondary (complete) general education and special training according to an established program without requirements for work experience is appointed to the position of elevator dispatch operator.

1.3. Appointment to a position and dismissal from it are made by order of the director of the enterprise on the recommendation of the head of the economic department.

1.4. The operator for dispatching maintenance of elevators must know:

regulations, instructions, other guidance materials and regulatory documents relating to the dispatching service of elevators;
the device of the dispatching console and the rules for the operation of serviced elevators;
basics of labor organization;
labor legislation;
rules of internal labor regulations;
rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures, industrial sanitation and fire protection.

1.5. The elevator dispatcher service operator reports directly to (the elevator dispatcher service manager).

2. Official duties

2.1. Elevator dispatch operator:

starts and, if necessary, stops elevators, monitors their proper operation;
answers the calls of passengers in the elevator car;
in case of delay of passengers in the elevator cabin, identifies the reasons for the stop and gives them the necessary explanations on the rules for using the elevator;
promptly reports any malfunctions in the operation of the elevator in order to take measures to eliminate them;
fills in the journal of acceptance and delivery of the shift;
monitors the serviceability of the dispatcher console and two-way communication.

3. Rights

3.1. The elevator dispatch operator has the right:

get acquainted with draft decisions of the enterprise management concerning its activities;
demand from the management of the enterprise to provide assistance in the performance of his official duties and rights.

4. A responsibility

4.1. The elevator dispatch operator is responsible for:

for improper performance or failure to fulfill their official duties provided for by this job description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine;
for offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine;
for causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
