At the same time, the signatures of both the one who was instructed and the one who instructed are required.

1.4. The driver of the belt conveyor (transporter), after the initial briefing at the workplace, must undergo an internship for 2-15 shifts (depending on the length of service, experience and nature of work) under the guidance of an experienced qualified driver of the belt conveyor (transporter), who is appointed by order (instruction) according to enterprise.

1.5. Repeated briefing on the rules and methods of safe work and labor protection, the operator of the belt conveyor (transporter) must pass:

  • periodically, at least once a quarter;
  • with unsatisfactory knowledge of labor protection no later than a month;
  • in connection with an admitted case of injury or violation of labor protection requirements that did not lead to injury.

1.6. The operator of the belt conveyor (transporter) must work in overalls and footwear, as well as personal protective equipment provided for by the Model Industry Standards: a dust-proof cotton suit, leather boots, combined mittens, protective goggles (against mechanical damage), a helmet, in addition, on external robots and in unheated galleries in winter, additionally - a jacket and cotton trousers with an insulated lining.

Overalls, safety shoes and personal protective equipment must be in good working order and correspond to height and size.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before starting work, the belt conveyor operator must:

  • carefully examine the parts of the belt conveyor mechanisms;
  • check the tight fit of the tape block to the surface of the drum and the absence of damage in the tape;
  • check whether the protective means of the moving parts of the mechanism are sufficient, whether their fastening is strong;
  • during the test run of the conveyor, check the ease of rotation of the drums and rollers, the movement of the belt, the sufficiency of its tension, as well as the condition of the protective means of the counterweight of the tensioning device;
  • put on overalls, safety shoes, and, if necessary, personal protective equipment;
  • inspect the condition of the starting electrical equipment, the corresponding fuses, as well as the grounding of the electric motors;
  • after inspecting the conveyor mechanisms and troubleshooting, the driver must lubricate all the rubbing parts of the unit.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Before starting the conveyor, make sure that there are no residues of materials, tools and other foreign objects on it, and also warn the workers who service the mechanism with an audible signal about its start. The presence of unauthorized persons near the mechanism when it is put into operation is prohibited.

3.2. Make a trial run of the conveyor without load. If this does not reveal any malfunctions, it should be gradually loaded.

3.3. During the trial run, it is necessary to check the correct operation of all parts of the machine.

3.4. To ensure the normal operation of belt conveyors, the following rules must be observed:

  • systematically monitor the operation of roller supports;
  • constantly monitor the operation of tensioning devices;
  • regularly inspect feed funnels, unloading and cleaning devices.

3.5. The conveyor driver is prohibited from:

  • stop belt conveyors in a loaded state (except in emergency cases);
  • clean and repair while driving;
  • prevent the belt from shifting to the side with the help of a stop, prevent slipping of the belt on the drive drum, add rosin, sand and other materials.

3.6. It is forbidden to prevent the conveyor belt from slipping during the operation of the conveyor, to add sand, clay, slag, rosin, tar, etc. between the belt and the drum, tighten, reinforce, fix the belt, rearrange the rollers that support the belt, as well as clean the tension and drive stations (drums), sprockets manually.

These operations may be carried out with the motor turned off, if the fuses and break plugs have been removed by an electrician.

3.7. When operating a belt conveyor in conditions where the entire route is not visible, a two-way sound alarm must be installed at the launch sites. Direct signaling with control from the starting point of the conveyor is allowed to be used personally only in cases where the conveyor is viewed completely along its entire length.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
