Safe Operation

1. General requirements for labor protection

1.1. Stationary cutting and manual electric machines are used for making cuts from fabric floorings in the mass production of clothing. Use of this equipment may result in cuts and electric shock.

1.2. Persons at least 18 years of age who have undergone special training and passed exams by the attestation commission of the enterprise, and who have been instructed at the workplace, are allowed to work on cutting machines.

1.3. Do not be distracted by extraneous work and do not allow yourself to be distracted by others.

1.4. In case of injury, contact the first-aid post and inform the administration of the workshop.

2. Labor protection requirements before starting work

2.1. Check the security of the guards and their fasteners.

2.2. Check the serviceability of the grounding and the condition of the insulation of the wires;

2.3. Check the condition of the working surface of the knife, the correct sharpening, the absence of side burrs;

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.3. Do not allow unauthorized persons to work on cutting machines.

3.5. On stationary draw frames, check:

tension of the band knife, direction of its movement at the place of supply of the flooring (should be from top to bottom), do not allow the knife to run off to the side and skew it;
monitor the condition of the inserts of the knife plate of the table cover, in case of their development, require their replacement;
when cutting synthetic fabrics, promptly clean the tape knife from sticking synthetic resins;
monitor the correct operation of magnetic catchers and devices, sharpening of knife bands, do not remove guards and sharpening device.

3.6. When cutting the flooring, follow the correct position of the hands in relation to the cutting edges of the knife, both during forward and reverse movement. The hand holding the deck must not cross the cutting lines.

3.7. Keep the knife sharp and sharpen it in a timely manner. Do not idle the car, turn it off during work breaks.

3.8. Make sure that for manual cutters, the terminal box fits snugly into the contacts of the motor one and that the machine is grounded.

3.9. If there is a smell of a burning motor, with a slight tingling from touching the machine body, with incomprehensible noises - stop work immediately, turn off the machine and call an electrician.

3.10. If the band knife breaks, turn off the machine, call an electrician.

It is forbidden for fabric cutters to work on the equipment. It is forbidden to accelerate the stop of mechanisms to produce artificial braking of pulleys or gears after a power outage.

3.11. Spare band knives should be stored in protective places; and tie it into rolls and take it to the places where scrap metal is collected.

4. Labor protection requirements at the end of work

4.1. turn off the mechanisms, wait for a complete stop, perform technological maintenance measures (clean the machine, clean your workplace).

4.2. Stop the manual cutter only in the middle of the table, do not stop the machine on the floor or in the aisles.

4.3. This manual must be read by all who come into contact with the operation of this equipment.
