3.2. Die adjustment should be carried out at idle strokes of the press in the "Adjustment" mode

3.3. When installing dies on hot stamping presses, it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring the required clearance between the lower and upper inserts at the extreme lower position of the slider, avoiding collision of the inserts during operation.

3.4. The semi-matrices of hydraulic multi-plunger presses during stamping must be closed and clamped with a force that does not allow them to open during the deformation process.

3.5. Blocks for fastening dies on multi-plunger hydraulic presses must ensure reliable installation of semi-dies, punches and ejectors. Particular attention must be paid to the alignment of the punches and the corresponding holes in the half-dies.

4.3. In the event of a fire, notify the fire brigade and the supervisor

Extinguishing burning objects located at a distance of less than 2 m from the contact network is allowed only with carbon dioxide or powder fire extinguishers.

It is possible to extinguish burning objects with water, chemical, foam fire extinguishers only with the permission of the master, that the voltage from the contact network is removed and it is grounded.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. De-energize the electric drive, press drive.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Lasers vs Drones 31.10.2016

Laser weapons to destroy enemy drones will be installed on Stryker combat vehicles in the US Army next year.

On tests, the system showed the result: 21 downed drones out of 23 targets. The authorities claim that the system can be used on the battlefield in 11 months. The system will be able to destroy both small and medium drones.

The weapon will track and identify targets, and then destroy and melt the components of the impending threat.

The laser power can already reach two kilowatts. The developer - General Dynamics Land Systems - is working to bring this value to five and promises eventually that the laser will be able to fire an 18-kilowatt beam.

“We need to address the disparity of opportunity in our inability to detect, track and destroy low-flying slow drones that are rapidly multiplying around the world,” says Tim Reese, director of strategic planning.

The system, which uses Boeing fire control technology in the laser, is equipped with its own radar and electrical jamming system to block the signal of an enemy drone.
