Preventive and corrective actions

Measures should be established and maintained for preventive and corrective actions arising from the monitoring of the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of the OSMS, audits / audits of the OSMS and the review of the effectiveness of the OSMS by management. These activities should include:

a) identification and analysis of the root causes of any non-compliance with relevant labor protection rules and (or) measures of labor protection management systems;

b) initiating, planning, performing performance reviews and documenting corrective and preventive actions, including changes to the OSH management system itself.

Where an assessment of the OSH management system or other sources indicates that preventive and protective measures against hazards and risks are inadequate or may become inadequate, other measures appropriate to the circumstances, according to the adopted hierarchy of preventive and regulatory measures, should be provided in a timely manner, fully completed and documented.

Continuous improvement

Measures should be established and maintained to continuously improve the relevant elements of the OSH management system and the OSH as a whole. These activities must take into account:

a) the objectives of the organization for labor protection;

b) results of identification and assessment of hazards and risks;

c) results of performance monitoring and performance evaluation;

d) investigations into work-related injuries, ill health, illnesses and incidents, results and recommendations of inspections/audits;

e) conclusions from management's review of the effectiveness of the OSMS;

e) suggestions for improvement from all members of the organization, including the committee on labor protection, where it exists;

g) changes in national laws and regulations, voluntary programs and collective agreements;

h) new relevant information;

i) the results of the implementation of programs for the protection and maintenance of health.

Honeywell FMA Miniature Force Transmitters 25.09.2021

Honeywell introduced the new FMA series sensors. They have a piezoresistive sensing element. Full factory calibration and temperature compensation minimizes initial offset and sensitivity non-linearity.

Direct mechanical contact ensures a simple input of the measured force. The output is directly proportional to the force applied to the sensor. FMA sensors have a digital output for easy connection to a microcontroller.

The FMA series is a compensated heavy duty force transducer with a digital output and a wide measurement range, with a small size, as well as increased reliability and accuracy. Multiple measurement limits allow the customer to select the force range to maximize sensitivity and improve the resolution of their system. The small size allows the FMA series to be used in applications where space is limited. The rugged construction provides increased reliability in applications where excessive force may exist.

The digital output improves performance by reducing conversion requirements and provides a direct interface to the microcontroller. By monitoring the "open" and "short" conditions inside the sensor, the diagnostic functions allow the user to determine the correct operation of the device.
