I. General Provisions

  1. A safety and energy engineer (hereinafter referred to as “Engineer”) belongs to the category of specialists, is hired and dismissed by order of the director of the enterprise on the recommendation of the technical director.
  2. A person who has a higher professional (technical) education and work experience in the specialty in engineering positions for at least 2 years or secondary vocational (technical) education and work experience in the specialty in engineering positions for at least 3 years is appointed to the position of Engineer.
  3. The engineer reports directly to the technical director.
  4. During the absence of the Engineer (business trip, vacation, illness, etc.), his official duties are performed by a person appointed in accordance with the established procedure, who bears full responsibility for their high-quality and timely implementation.
  5. In his work, the energy engineer is guided by:
  • rules for the operation of technical means of television and radio broadcasting, television and radio broadcasting and mass communications;
  • normative acts and methodological materials on the issues of the work performed;
  • the Charter of the enterprise;
  • safety regulations;
  • labor regulations;
  • orders and orders of the director of the enterprise and the immediate supervisor;
  • this Job Description.
  1. The engineer must know:
  • safety regulations;
  • decrees, instructions, orders, methodological and regulatory materials on the operation of energy equipment and communications;
  • organization of energy economy;
  • prospects for the technical development of the enterprise;
  • technical characteristics, design features, operating modes and rules of technical operation of power equipment;
  • A unified system of scheduled preventive maintenance and rational operation of equipment;
  • organization and technology of repair work;
  • the procedure for drawing up applications for energy resources, equipment, materials, spare parts, tools;
  • methods of installation, adjustment, adjustment and repair of power equipment;
  • fundamentals of production technology of the enterprise;
  • requirements for labor organization during operation, repair and modernization of power equipment, best practices for operation and repair of power equipment;
  • rules for the delivery of equipment for repair and acceptance after repair;
  • fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
  • main issues of labor legislation;
  • rules and regulations of labor protection.

II. Official duties

The engineer must:

  1. Ensure uninterrupted operation, proper operation, repair and modernization of energy equipment, electrical and heating networks, air and gas pipelines.
  2. Determine production needs for fuel and energy resources, prepare the necessary justification for technical re-equipment, development of the energy sector, reconstruction and modernization of energy supply systems.
  3. Draw up requests for the purchase of equipment, materials, spare parts necessary for the operation of the energy sector, carry out calculations with the necessary justification for measures to save energy resources, the needs of enterprise divisions for electrical, thermal and other types of energy, participate in the development of standards for their consumption, operating modes of enterprise divisions, based on their energy needs.
  4. Monitor compliance with the norms of fuel consumption and all types of energy.
  5. Draw up schedules for reducing energy loads during hours of maximum load on the energy system and ensure their implementation within the limits determined for the enterprise division, carry out certification of energy, electrical and environmental installations installed at the enterprise.
  6. Participate in testing and acceptance of power plants and networks for industrial operation, in examining the causes of accidents of power equipment and develop measures to prevent them and create safe working conditions.
  7. Organize inspection and testing of relay protection and automation equipment.
  8. Carry out technical supervision of instrumentation, electrical and thermal equipment used at the enterprise, as well as ensure the preparation of boilers, pressure vessels, steam and hot water pipelines, electrical installations and other energy facilities for commissioning, inspection and certification of the state organization supervision.
  9. Monitor compliance with instructions for operation, maintenance and supervision of energy equipment and electrical networks.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of standards and technical specifications for power equipment.
  11. Prepare the necessary materials for concluding contracts for equipment repairs with contractors.
  12. Monitor the implementation of major and other repairs of power equipment.
  13. Study and summarize advanced domestic and foreign experience in the rational use and saving of fuel and energy resources.
  14. Ensure compliance with labor safety rules and regulations during operation and repair of power plants and networks.
  15. Conduct safety briefings with Company employees.
  16. Prepare reports in accordance with approved forms and indicators.
  17. Carry out individual official assignments of your immediate supervisor.

III. Rights

The engineer has the right:

  1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities.
  2. Submit proposals for the improvement of the work related to the duties provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management of the enterprise.
  3. Receive from the heads of structural divisions, specialists information and documents on issues within its competence.
  4. Involve specialists from all structural divisions of the enterprise to solve the duties assigned to it (if it is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, with the permission of the head of the enterprise).
  5. Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and the exercise of rights.

IV. A responsibility

The engineer is responsible for:

  1. For non-performance (improper performance) of their duties provided for by this instruction, in accordance with the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
  2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities, in accordance with the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. For causing material damage in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

Consultant neurologist Topun Austin of the University of Cambridge has found out why babies sleep a lot in a new study.

The researchers took a new approach for experiments - they created a special hat, where they built in light sources and sensors. This helped to measure the blood circulation in the children's brains on the principle of a pulse oximeter attached to a finger.

This method had been used before, but it required a cap with electrodes attached to it. As part of the new study, the experts used 12 tiles placed in a hat and connected to a computer with a single cable.
