I. General Provisions

  1. The sociologist belongs to the category of specialists.
  2. For the position:
  • a sociologist is appointed by a person with a higher professional education without any work experience requirements;
  • sociologist of category II - a person with higher professional education and work experience as a sociologist for at least 3 years;
  • sociologist of category I - a person who has a higher professional education and work experience as a sociologist of category II for at least 3 years.
  1. Appointment to the position of sociologist and dismissal from it are made by the director of the enterprise on the recommendation of the head on the recommendation of the head (department of social development; bureau of labor sociology; department of organization and remuneration).
  2. The sociologist must know:
  • resolutions, instructions, orders, other governing and regulatory documents related to socio-psychological issues;
  • sociology of labor;
  • methods of conducting sociological research;
  • fundamentals of labor psychology, engineering and social psychology;
  • forms and systems of wages;
  • the order and methods of planning the social development of the enterprise;
  • advanced domestic and foreign experience of sociologists;
  • basics of production technology;
  • fundamentals of economics, organization of labor and management;
  • labor legislation;
  • rules of internal labor regulations;
  • rules and regulations of labor protection.
  1. The sociologist reports to the head of _______ (department of social development; bureau of labor sociology; department of organization and remuneration).
  2. During the absence of a sociologist (vacation, illness, business trip, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed by order of the director of the enterprise, who is responsible for their proper execution.

II. Official duties

Sociologist:

  1. Conducts sociological research in order to develop and implement measures aimed at creating the most favorable socio-psychological conditions at the enterprise, contributing to increasing the degree of satisfaction of the material and spiritual needs of employees and their labor productivity.
  2. Participates in the preparation of draft long-term and annual plans for the economic and social development of the enterprise and in planning funds for social and cultural events.
  3. Draws up programs of sociological research and supervises their implementation.
  4. Based on the research conducted, he develops recommendations for improving the forms of labor organization, its division and cooperation, and improving working conditions.
  5. Participates in the work carried out at the enterprise to determine the prospects for growth of workers' wages, improve the systems of material and moral incentives for the work activity of workers, find opportunities to more fully meet the needs of members of the workforce in housing and child care facilities, improve the organization of public catering and consumer services for workers, and develop sanatoriums. -resort network and provision of medical care.
  6. Together with a psychologist and other specialists, he studies the most pressing issues and problems of a social nature and ways to eliminate the causes of staff turnover, violations of labor discipline, etc.
  7. Develops measures aimed at solving social problems, indicating specific deadlines and performers, as well as the necessary financial resources, takes measures to mobilize work collectives for their implementation.
  8. Prepares proposals for strengthening labor discipline, improving the socio-psychological conditions of work, organizing leisure and everyday life of workers, increasing their social and creative activity.
  9. Organizes the promotion of sociological knowledge, provides methodological assistance to enterprise employees in solving social issues.
  10. Performs individual official assignments of his immediate supervisor.

III. Rights

The sociologist has the right:

  1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities.
  2. Make proposals for improving the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction.
  3. Within the limits of his competence, report to his immediate supervisor about all the shortcomings identified in the course of his activities and make proposals for their elimination.
  4. Request personally or on behalf of the management of the enterprise from the heads of departments and specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of his duties.
  5. Involve specialists from all (individual) structural divisions in solving the tasks assigned to him (if this is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, then with the permission of the head of the organization).
  6. Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The sociologist is responsible for:

  1. For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
  2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

An international team of researchers led by Emmanuel Stamatakis, Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, has analyzed a large body of medical data to find out which sports do and do not extend life.

Scientists used data from 80,3 thousand people over 30 from England and Scotland. The analysis showed that the risk of death for people who regularly played various types of tennis was lower by as much as 47%. For swimmers, this figure was 28%, for aerobics it was 27%, and for cyclists it was 15%.

At the same time, the chances of dying specifically from cardiovascular disease in tennis players were lower by 56%, in swimmers - by 41%, and in people involved in aerobics - by 36%.
