I. General Provisions

The chief director belongs to the category of leaders.
The chief director is appointed to the position and dismissed by the order of the director, in accordance with the procedure established by the current labor legislation.
The Chief Director reports directly to the Director.
The production department is subordinate to the chief director.
During the absence of the Chief Director (business trip, vacation, illness), his duties are performed by the Technical Director, who acquires the relevant rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.
A person who has a higher professional (director's) education and at least 5 years of experience as a television director is appointed to the position of the Chief Director.
To properly perform their duties, they must know:

Laws of Ukraine "On Mass Media", "On Advertising";
resolutions, orders, orders and other governing documents of higher, local and other bodies that determine the requirements for the artistic level of television programs;
socio-political events;
the state and prospects for the development of economic, scientific and cultural life in the country and abroad;
advanced domestic and foreign experience in directing;
principles and methods of video directing;
creative process and technology for creating television programs;
technical means of television and radio broadcasting;
copyright and labor legislation;
methods of information processing using modern technical means, means of communication and communication, computer technology;
the procedure for concluding and executing copyright and labor contracts;
fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
forms and systems of remuneration and material incentives;
regulations and methodological recommendations on the regulation of the activities of creative workers;
rules and regulations of labor protection, safety and fire protection.

II. Official duties

The main task of the chief director is the unconditional and high-quality implementation of these instructions, as well as the director’s requirements related to labor functions,
Organizes and directs the creative and production process of creating television programs at a high artistic level,
Defines the creative concept of the activity; participates in the development of long-term and current thematic and production and financial plans of the department and television and radio company, develops project estimates, promotion, ensures the implementation of approved plans,
Improves forms of feedback with television viewers, with the creative community,
Generalizes and introduces into everyday practice advanced domestic and foreign experience in creating television programs, improving the types and forms of broadcasting, organizing production, labor and managing creative teams, identifying production reserves,
Manages filming (creative) teams, ensures the correct interpretation of the author's intention by the creators of the programs, controls the complex of works related to the production of television programs, coordinates the work of artistic and production personnel,
Develops script plans for programs, as well as promotional videos, according to the application for the production of promos,
Monitors the readiness of filming (creative) crews for recording and editing; participates in receiving transmissions,
Controls the use of technical means, recording the workload of artistic and production personnel,
If necessary, directly prepares responsible transfers,
Makes proposals on tariffing, hiring, dismissal and promotion of distinguished employees, as well as imposing disciplinary sanctions on violators of labor and production discipline, monthly draws up fee statements.

III. Rights

The chief director has the right:

Make suggestions for improving the hardware complex.
Request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor from the heads of divisions of the television company and specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of their duties.
Require the management of the TV company to ensure the organizational and technical conditions and execution of the established documents necessary for the performance of official duties.
Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the Company's management relating to its activities.
Submit proposals to improve the work of the TV company for consideration by the management.

IV. A responsibility

The Chief Director is responsible for:

For improper performance of duties provided for by this Job Description, internal labor regulations, employment contract, orders and instructions of the director, as well as the immediate supervisor.
For the safety and rational use of the material values and other resources entrusted to him.
For the observance of labor discipline.

OLED lighting 09.06.2017

China-based Yeolight Technology, formed in 2015 as a spin-off from OLED technology company Visionox, has unveiled prototypes of two new products.

The first prototype is an OLED lighting panel. The 85 x 85mm panel with a 76,5 x 76,5mm active area emits light with a color temperature of 2000K-2600K. The panel efficiency exceeds 70 lm/W and the brightness reaches 2000 cd/m². The manufacturer estimates the service life of the "bulb" at no less than 20 hours. As stated, the product is ready for mass production on the 000G line owned by Yeolight.

The second prototype is a rear light module for cars. It uses translucent OLED panels glowing red. They were developed jointly with automaker Yanfeng for the YF17 prototype, which was shown at the Shanghai auto show in April this year.

The module is formed by 36 partially overlapping triangular panels. The ability to independently control the panels allows you to get the visual effect of a traveling wave.

The thickness of each panel is 1,6 mm, the brightness is 1000 cd/m2, the light transmission is 40%. According to the manufacturer, the serial production of such modules should also begin in the near future.
