I. General Provisions

The editing director belongs to the category of specialists and reports directly to the head of the department.
A person with a higher or secondary vocational education is accepted for the post of editing director without presenting requirements for work experience.
Hiring and dismissal is carried out by order of the General Director.
The editor must know:

methodological and normative materials on the issues of the work performed;
prospects for technical development; features of the enterprise;
principles of operation - tele, - video equipment, methods and methods of installation;
rules and conditions for the performance of work;
basic requirements for technical documentation;
rules for the operation of the equipment entrusted to him;
rules and norms of labor protection;
internal labor regulations.

In his work, the editing director is guided by this Job Description.
During the absence of the editing director (illness, vacation, business trip, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner. This person acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.

II. Official duties

Carries out, under the guidance of the author of the program, the implementation of the entire complex of works on the installation of television programs.
Provides artistic and technical quality of installation.
Complies with the current technical standards, as well as the deadlines provided for by the calendar and production plan for the installation work.
Ensures the fulfillment of planned tasks.
Checks the availability of all submitted materials, identifies defects in individual takes.
Takes measures to improve the artistic and technical quality of programs.
Ensures the operational readiness of each plot during the installation.
If necessary, prepares the program for overwriting and overwrites it.
Shows the program live.
Views the final version of the edited program and informs the management of any defects in the edited scenes.
Independently carries out the process of preparing and editing simple television programs.
Carries out the installation of all sound materials (music, replicas, noise).
Works on complex assembly equipment, computer.
Performs other work in accordance with the requirements for this specialty.

III. Rights

The editing director has the right to:

Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its activities.
Participate in the discussion of issues related to their official duties.
Interact with the heads of all (individual) structural divisions of the organization on the provision of the necessary information.
Within the limits of its competence, report to the immediate supervisor about all the shortcomings identified in the course of the performance of their duties and make proposals for their elimination.

IV. A responsibility

The Editing Director is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
