I. General Provisions

  1. The head of the department reports directly to _______.

  • legislative and regulatory acts, resolutions, orders, orders, regulatory documents of higher-level bodies relating to the activities of the department and determine the requirements for television and radio broadcasting;
  • information about socio-political events, the state and prospects for the development of economic, scientific and cultural life in the country and abroad;
  • advanced domestic experience in organizing television and radio broadcasting;
  • technical means and technologies for creating television and radio programs;

  • economics, organization of production, labor and management;
  • fundamentals of planning and financing;
  • regulations and methodological recommendations on the regulation of the activities of creative workers;
  • rules and norms of labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety.
  1. Qualification requirements:
  • complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master, specialist);
  • at least 5 years of experience in journalism or editorial work.

II. Official duties

  1. Manages all activities of the department (editor).
  2. According to the calendar-thematic plan, speech ensures the creation of television and radio programs at a high artistic level.
  3. Participates in the formation of the concept of broadcasting, the development by the department (editor, creative associations, groups) of promising and current speech plans and approves them.
  4. Organizes work to expand and update the author's asset, improve the types and forms of speech.
  5. Listens to and receives ready-made programs (transmissions), coordinates microphone materials.
  6. Carries out work with letters from viewers (radio listeners), takes them into account when creating programs.
  7. Ensures the rational use of material, financial and technical resources, the development of commercial activities.
  8. In accordance with the current legislation, it takes measures to ensure the norms of copyright.
  9. Controls the maintenance of records of programs (transmissions) that have aired.
  10. It creates conditions for the full realization of the creative abilities of the editorial art and production staff of the department (editorial office), the introduction of progressive forms of organization and remuneration.
  11. Takes measures to attract qualified employees to work in the department, ensures a rational distribution of workloads between them, creates conditions for creative growth and advanced training of personnel, and conducts educational work in a team.
  12. Controls the observance by employees of the rules and norms of labor protection, production and labor discipline, internal labor regulations.
  13. Makes proposals to encourage the best employees or impose disciplinary sanctions on violators of discipline.

III. Rights

The head of the department has the right to:

  1. Get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise regarding its activities.
  2. Participate in the discussion of issues related to the performance of his duties.
  3. Make suggestions for improving the work related to the provisions of this instruction.
  4. Within the limits of his competence, inform his immediate supervisor about all those identified in the course of his activities, and make proposals for their elimination.
  5. Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The head of the department is responsible for:

  1. For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties, as well as for non-use or directly to their rights provided for by this Job Description - to the extent determined by the current legislation of Ukraine.
  2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation on labor of Ukraine.

The supercomputer has been operating since April 2005 at the Barcelona Polytechnic University (Spain).
