How did Paris manage to kidnap Helen?

Soon after the return of Paris to the royal family, his father - no doubt under the influence of Aphrodite - sent him on an embassy to Sparta. A fleet was built specifically for this, and the bow of the main ship was decorated with the figure of Aphrodite holding little Eros in her hands. When the ships went to sea, Aphrodite sent them a favorable wind, and soon Paris was already in Sparta, where King Menelaus arranged a feast in honor of the guest, which lasted for nine whole days.

At the feast, Paris pleased Helen with rich gifts from Troy, and his frank glances, loud sighs and bold signs of attention plunged her into confusion. Menelaus, who was not very observant, left his wife to entertain the guests and rule the kingdom in his absence, and he himself calmly sailed to Crete, for the funeral of his grandfather. On the very first night after the departure of her husband, Helen fled with Paris and became his beloved as soon as they went ashore. Perhaps those who claim that Elena rejected the courtship of Paris and he took her away by force are going against the truth.

In Sparta, Helena left her nine-year-old daughter Hermione, but did not forget to take most of the palace treasures and slaves. Upon arrival at home, Paris celebrated the wedding. Helen won the sympathy of the Trojans, struck by her divine beauty, despite the disasters that she brought to their city.

What causes a headache?

The answer to this question could be: anything! A headache can start for a hundred reasons. But this is not a disease, but a symptom. In this way, we know that something is wrong with us - in some part of the body or nervous system.

Of course, we know something about the mechanism of headache formation. She herself appears due to a certain structure of the skull. It is not the very substance of the brain that is sensitive to pain, but what covers it - various veins and arteries. When they "ache", then there is a headache. Pain in the teeth, ears, muscles can affect the brain area and cause a headache. Compression of the muscles of the head can also lead to the same consequences.

When people complain about a headache, you can notice that everyone names their own reason. So, some people have a headache when they are hungry, others - without a cup of coffee drunk in the morning or with a hangover. What happens in all these cases? The cranial arteries narrow or expand - this is the cause of the headache. It is known as vascular headache.

With a strong shock or a sudden turn of the head, a person may complain of a headache. There is nothing special in these cases either. If a person experiences great emotional stress, then this leads to the fact that the muscles of the back, lower part of the head and neck are compressed. Result? Headache!

Migraine is a special type of headache that is very different from others. But as you can see, headaches have many, many causes!

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Qnap introduced the TS-251A and TS-451A NAS, equipped with a USB QuickAccess port. In fact, this is a regular USB 3.0 Micro-B connector, with which the storage can be connected to a PC for data exchange, bypassing a wired LAN. In this mode, data exchange rates up to 100 MB / s are supported, although with the aggregation of the two available Gigabit Ethernet ports it is even higher - up to 211 MB / s.

NAS Qnap TS-251A and TS-451A received a USB QuickAccess port for direct connection to a PC
The basis of the new Qnap storages was the dual-core SoC Intel Celeron N3060, operating at up to 2,48 GHz. There are two slots for DDR3L RAM, the maximum total amount is 8 GB, and the regular one is 2 or 4 GB. Proprietary OS QTS 4.2.2 recorded on a flash drive with a capacity of 4 GB. The Qnap TS-251A and TS-451A models received two and four slots for 3,5-inch drives with a SATA 6 Gb / s interface.

Thanks to the SoC used, there is an HDMI video output with support for a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (30 Hz), audio passthrough and multimedia shell control are supported using the included remote control. There are three USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader.

It supports data encryption using the AES algorithm with a 256-bit key, virtualization of various operating systems, including Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04, the creation of a personal cloud with file synchronization, and the launch of a video surveillance station.
