I. General Provisions

The duty officer at the escalator belongs to the category of workers and reports directly to _______.
A person who has professional training in accordance with the established program is appointed to the position of duty officer at the escalator.
Appointment to the post of duty officer at the escalator and release from it is carried out by order of the head of the enterprise.
The attendant at the escalator must know:

principles of operation, rules for the use and operation of escalators, their electrical and radio equipment;
the location of the first-aid post, the escalator driver, maintenance personnel and emergency workers;
rules and methods for providing first medical aid to victims;
subway scheme, location of departments and sections of shops and office premises of air, railway stations and other organizations in the buildings of which the duty officer at the escalator performs his duties;
rules for the acceptance and delivery of shifts;
rules and regulations of labor protection, safety and fire protection;

During the absence of the person on duty at the escalator (illness, vacation, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner.

II. Official duties

The duty officer at the escalator performs the following duties:

Turning on, monitoring the work and turning off the escalators of the subways, in shops at the airport, railway stations and in other organizations.
Informing passengers by loudspeaker about the rules for using escalators.
Taking measures to change the mode of operation of escalators depending on the passenger flow.
Informing passengers about the shortest way to the metro station they are interested in, the location of trade departments, sections, office premises, etc.
Assistance to the elderly, the disabled and passengers with children at the entrance and exit from the escalator.
Stopping the escalator in case of malfunctions and accidents, providing the first necessary first aid to the victims.
Calling electricians, escalator driver or emergency workers in case of malfunction of escalators.
Compliance with the ethics of communication with persons using escalators.

III. Rights

The attendant at the escalator has the right to:

Require compliance with the rules for using the escalator from persons using their services.
Submit proposals to improve the service and safety of citizens using the escalator for consideration by the management of the enterprise.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The attendant at the escalator is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
