The number and location of entrances to the ZS GO should be sufficient for the timely shelter of all the population remaining after the evacuation. Each shelter is completed with the necessary documents (a plan of the shelter, a map of its binding on the ground and a scheme of ways to evacuate people from the shelter).

One copy of the documentation is kept in the shelter, and the other - at the headquarters of the GO OE. At least once a quarter and immediately after the start of filling, the shelter is checked for tightness, operability of the FVA, all systems and means of communication.

The commander of the formation of shelters and shelters sets up posts, monitors the fulfillment of the calculation of his duties and the serviceability of the shelter equipment. Shelter ventilation is switched to "Mode 1". Reception and accommodation of people are carried out, order is maintained in the shelter. After the "Close AP" signal is executed, the tightness of the shelter is checked. On the signals "Radioactive danger" or "Chemical alarm" ventilation is immediately transferred to "Mode 2". If there is no such regime, then PPE is put on.

After a nuclear explosion, an expedient ventilation mode is selected. All those who are hiding must comply with the requirements of the calculation to ensure the safety of staying in a protective structure. Those sheltering should have a supply of food and water for 2 days, toiletries, personal belongings, documents, personal protective equipment.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Fires in the Amazonian forests have accelerated the melting of glaciers in the Andes 03.12.2019

Observations of ice conditions in the Andes have shown that massive fires in the Amazon jungle over the past ten years have accelerated their melting by 5%. The strength of their action in the coming years will more than double due to the fact that the scale of fires is increasing, and the concentration of dust in the atmosphere is growing.

"The forecasts of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) indicate that the Amazon will become much drier in the coming decades and centuries. Therefore, fires in the southwest of this region have already become not a local, but a continental problem that can deprive residents of water many parts of the Andes," scientists say.

Ecologists estimate that the Amazonian rainforest covers about 5,5 million square kilometers. km. They account for about 10% of the carbon stored in all living organisms on Earth and a similar amount of biomass produced each year. In addition, they produce approximately 6% of the total oxygen released by all photosynthetic organisms.

Such a serious role of this region in the life of the planet makes climatologists and ecologists closely monitor its fate for almost half a century. They do this with climate satellites, ground weather stations, and other observational techniques. Measurements of recent years make researchers seriously worry about the fate of the Amazonian forests.
