Medical personal protective equipment - these are the simplest means that every person should be able to use, since they are designed to provide first aid in emergency situations.

These include an individual first aid kit (AI-1, AI-2), an individual anti-chemical package (IPP-8, IPP-9, IPP-10, IPP-11), an individual dressing package.

First aid kit individual contains medical protective equipment and is intended to provide self-help and mutual assistance in case of injuries and burns (to relieve pain), prevent and reduce damage by radioactive and toxic substances, as well as to prevent infectious diseases. The first-aid kit contains a set of medical supplies distributed in nests in a plastic box measuring 90 × 120 × 20 mm.

To prevent the development of pain shock in case of bone fractures, wounds, extensive burns, an anesthetic is used - 1 ml of a 2% solution of promedol, located in nest 1.

The standard antidote in the first-aid kit for FOV lesions is taren; 1 tablet of tarena is taken on the signal "Chemical alarm", in case of an increase in signs of poisoning, it is necessary to take 1 more tablet (nest 2).

In nest 3 there is a white pencil case with sulfademitoxin, an antibacterial agent (15 tablets), which is taken for gastrointestinal disorders that occur after irradiation.

To increase the body's resistance to ionizing radiation, a radioprotective agent, cystamine, is used. It is in nest 4 in two pink cases, 6 tablets each. The remedy from this pencil case is taken at the threat of exposure for 30-40 minutes in the amount of 6 tablets, washed down with water, and with continued exposure - after 4-5 hours another 6 tablets. The effectiveness of the product is about 50%.

In nest 5, two canisters without coloring are placed with an antibacterial agent - tetracycline (5 tablets in each canister). This remedy is recommended to be taken in case of a threat or direct bacteriological infection as a means of emergency non-specific prophylaxis, prevention of wound and burn infection.

Slot 6 contains a radioprotective agent (potassium iodide), which is taken 1 tablet daily for 10 days after radioactive fallout, if there is a risk of radioactive iodine entering the body, especially with milk from cows grazing on the territory contaminated with RS.

To eliminate the primary reaction of the body to radiation, which is manifested mainly by nausea and vomiting, the drug etaperazin is used, which is in the first-aid kit in a blue pencil case in nest 7.

Individual anti-chemical packages are intended for disinfection of drop-liquid agents and some hazardous chemicals that fall on the body and clothing of a person, personal protective equipment and tools. The liquid contained in the package is poisonous and dangerous for the eyes, so it should not get into the eyes and on the mucous surface of the mouth. The purpose of an individual anti-chemical package is to carry out partial sanitization. Processing with the help of individual anti-chemical packages does not exclude the need for further complete sanitization of people and disinfection of clothing, footwear and personal protective equipment.
