Skin protection products (SZK) designed to protect people from the effects of toxic, radioactive, emergency chemically hazardous substances and bacterial agents. All SZK are divided into special and improvised. Special SZK are divided into insulating (air-tight) and filtering (air-permeable).

К means of insulating type include kits KIH-4, KIH-5, KZA, Ch-20, combined arms protective suit (OZK), light protective suit (L-1).

Filtering products are made from cotton fabric impregnated with special chemicals. These include protective filtering clothing (ZFO), protective kits (FL-F, FL-N, PZO-2, KZKhCh), protective clothing ATK-1.

Combined-arms protective suit, light protective suit L-1 and protective filter clothing are used only with filter gas masks.

In insulating skin protection products, the maximum permissible periods of continuous operation are set depending on the air temperature and severity.

The working time in filtering skin protection products is determined mainly by the time of the protective action.

The simplest improvised skin protection products are designed to protect the skin of the human body from radioactive dust, biological agents, and, with special impregnation, also to protect against AHOV and OV vapors.

Industrial and household clothing, footwear can be used as such means. Various gloves (leather, rubber), rubber boots are used to protect hands and feet. In addition, for additional protection against radioactive dust and biological aerosols, rubberized and tarpaulin raincoats, capes, raincoats made of synthetic film materials and other improvised means can be used together with impregnated clothing.

Additional sealing (sewing in a bib, cuffs) of the bottom of trousers and sleeves and impregnation of clothing is carried out by the population itself at home.

It takes about 3 liters of solution to impregnate one set of clothes. To prepare the solution, 200-300 g of laundry soap is taken, dissolved in 2 liters of water heated to 60-70 ° C, 0,5 liters of oil (vegetable or mineral) is added, mixed for 5 minutes and heated again with stirring until soapy - oil emulsion.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

New digital signal isolators 19.04.2008

Texas Instruments has introduced the IS072xx series of high-voltage digital signal isolators to the market, fully pin-compatible with the ADuMxxxx isolators.

Possible applications for digital isolators are circuits operating in close proximity to powerful motors or other sources of strong electromagnetic radiation. In such an environment, the probability of data loss or errors in the transmission of information is very high.

Given this important fact, Texas Instruments has applied a new principle of galvanic isolation in their insulators - a dual capacitive barrier. Isolators have from one to four channels, data transfer rate - up to 150 Mbps, supply voltage 3,3/5 V, isolation voltage 2500 Veff.
