To improve the removal of heat generated by radio elements in radio equipment and computers, forced ventilation is often used. However, its failure is dangerous overheating and failure of the entire device. The proposed signaling device will allow you to find out in time about the stop of the fan.

The signaling device circuit is shown in fig. one.

Fan failure buzzer

Resistor R1, connected in series to the power supply circuit of the fan motor M1, produces a voltage proportional to the current flowing. During normal operation of the fan, the current consumed by it is a pulsating complex shape. The variable component of the ripple through the capacitor C1 enters the base of the transistor VT1. As a result, the transistor, periodically opening, discharges the capacitor C2, preventing the voltage from reaching the switching threshold of the element DD1.1 on it.

If the fan stops, the current ripple stops, which leads to the charging of the capacitor C2. As soon as the voltage on it reaches the switching threshold of the element DD1.1, log. 1 from its output will switch the element DD1.2 and the operation of the multivibrator on the elements DD1.3 and DD1.4 will be allowed. Multivibrator pulses with a frequency of approximately 2 Hz open the transistor VT2, in the collector circuit of which a sound emitter with a built-in generator (“beeper”) HA1 is included. Similar emitters are used in imported electronic alarm clocks.

The printed circuit board of the signaling device with the layout of parts on it is shown in fig. 2.

Fan failure buzzer

The board is designed to install fixed resistors MLT-0,125 (R1 - MLT-0,5). Capacitors - K10-7, KM. Instead of the K561LA7 chip, you can install K176LA7, KR1561LA7, K561TL2, KR1561TL2. Transistors VT1, VT2 - KT3102 series with any letter index. Sound emitter HA1 - HRM14AX or another with a built-in generator.

The signaling device is suitable for operation with any DC fan with a supply voltage of 9...15 V. Sometimes it is required to select resistor R1 and capacitor C1.

In the absence of an emitter with a built-in generator, you can use a conventional piezoelectric emitter, for example, from the ZP series (ZP-1, ZP-18, ZP-22), assembling the signaling device according to the diagram shown in Fig. 3.

Fan failure buzzer

This device is similar to the one discussed above, but contains two multivibrators, the second being controlled by a signal from the first and generating a signal with a frequency of approximately 3000 Hz. A selection of elements C4 and R6 will produce a sound signal of the desired tone.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Satellite chip for mobile phones 15.03.2004

Samsung Electronics has completed development of the world's first digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) chip for mobile phones.

Samsung has applied SOC (system-on-a-chip) technology, which allows the developed satellite chip to separate signals for individual users from a huge number of Other signals. The signal transmitted from the satellite is then converted into a high quality video image.

Samsung plans to release a mobile phone with such a chip at the same time as the launch of satellite digital media broadcasting service.
