Under the influence of traumatic factors on a person, there are Negative consequences, which can be divided into primary and remote.

Primary consequences are typical for traumatic effects and acute poisoning. They are accompanied by various injuries or death of people.

The long-term effect of harmful factors is manifested through diseases, a reduction in life expectancy, a decrease in the birth rate and a deterioration in the health of newborns and children.

Habitat pollution has become one of the main reasons for the reduction in life expectancy of the Russian population. Whereas in 1965 life expectancy for men was 65 years, in 1995 it dropped to 57,3 years. Infant mortality has risen. In the CIS countries, it is 25 cases per 1000 newborns. 10% of newborns in Russia are born with defects and deformities. According to the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 70% of children in Moscow are in poor health.

Assessing the consequences of the impact of hazards on people, it should be recognized that the level of death from them is growing every year. The negative impact of harmful factors is also dangerous for future generations.

At all stages of its development, man was closely connected with the outside world. With the emergence of a highly industrial society, human intervention in nature has increased dramatically, has become dangerous and threatens to turn into a global threat to humanity in the near future. There are several most significant processes that worsen the ecological situation on the planet.

The most large-scale and significant is the chemical pollution of the environment by substances of a chemical nature that are not characteristic of it. Among them are gaseous and aerosol pollutants of industrial and domestic origin. In particular, the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reinforces the undesirable trend towards an increase in the average annual temperature on the planet. The ongoing pollution of the World Ocean with oil and oil products is alarming, which can cause significant disruption of gas and water exchange between the hydrosphere and the atmosphere. There is no doubt about the negative impact of soil pollution with pesticides.

In the last decade, environmental pollution of many regions of the Earth has caused a sharp increase in diseases of the population, increased infant mortality and disorders in the psychophysical development of the younger generation. In the following sections, the main factors influencing the state of the biosphere will be considered.

A New Way to Control and Manipulate Optical Signals 05.05.2024

The modern world of science and technology is developing rapidly, and every day new methods and technologies appear that open up new prospects for us in various fields. One such innovation is the development by German scientists of a new way to control optical signals, which could lead to significant progress in the field of photonics. Recent research has allowed German scientists to create a tunable waveplate inside a fused silica waveguide. This method, based on the use of a liquid crystal layer, allows one to effectively change the polarization of light passing through a waveguide. This technological breakthrough opens up new prospects for the development of compact and efficient photonic devices capable of processing large volumes of data. The electro-optical control of polarization provided by the new method could provide the basis for a new class of integrated photonic devices. This opens up great opportunities for ... >>

Primium Seneca keyboard 05.05.2024

Keyboards are an integral part of our daily computer work. However, one of the main problems that users face is noise, especially in the case of premium models. But with the new Seneca keyboard from Norbauer & Co, that may change. Seneca is not just a keyboard, it is the result of five years of development work to create the ideal device. Every aspect of this keyboard, from acoustic properties to mechanical characteristics, has been carefully considered and balanced. One of the key features of Seneca is its silent stabilizers, which solve the noise problem common to many keyboards. In addition, the keyboard supports various key widths, making it convenient for any user. Although Seneca is not yet available for purchase, it is scheduled for release in late summer. Norbauer & Co's Seneca represents new standards in keyboard design. Her ... >>

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Planet 9 times larger than Jupiter discovered 13.04.2022

Scientists have observed a giant planet estimated to be about nine times the mass of Jupiter at a surprisingly early stage in its formation, described as "still in the womb," in a discovery that challenges current understanding of planetary formation.

The researchers used the Subaru Telescope, located near the top of an inactive Hawaiian volcano, and the Hubble Space Telescope in orbit to discover and study the planet, a gas giant orbiting unusually far from its young parent star. Gas giants are planets, such as our solar system's largest planets Jupiter and Saturn, composed mostly of hydrogen and helium, with swirling gases surrounding a smaller solid core.

"We think it's still in the very early stages of its 'birth'," said astrophysicist Thane Currie of the Subaru Telescope and NASA Ames Research Center. ever observed."

The giant is embedded in a vast disk of gas and dust containing planet-forming material that surrounds a star called AB Aurigae, located 508 light years away - the distance light travels in a year, 9,5 trillion kilometers (5,9 trillion miles). ) - from the earth. This star got a fleeting moment of fame when her image appeared in a scene in the 2021 film Don't Look Up.
