A single-phase to three-phase voltage converter (Fig. 4.53) is designed to power a three-phase electric motor. It is connected to the mains via an SFI circuit breaker providing the rated current consumption.

After switching on the network, the shift register DD2 is reset to zero for the time the capacitor C2 is charged through the resistor R5. After charging C2 to the response voltage of the element DD1.1, a shift in the register DD2 is allowed.

When the register output is set to logic "1", the transistor connected to it (VT1 ... VT6) opens, which switches the corresponding thyristor.

The time diagram of operation (thyristor switching sequences) is shown in fig. 4.54.

Capacitors C4 ... C6 - switching (locking) capacitances. Their values are approximate. They are selected during circuit setup, depending on the motor power and thyristor switching frequency.

After setting up the circuit, R3 and R4 are soldered, a capacitor with a capacity of 4 microfarads is soldered in place of R0,68.

A tuning resistor with a resistance of 15 kOhm is soldered between points A and B, which accurately sets the speed of the electric motor.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Threads tracking gas 14.03.2020

Various electronic devices for determining the presence of certain harmful gases in rooms or in the atmosphere as a whole, of course, are widely used and distributed, but still have a relatively high price for manufacture and sale, which often makes them not quite suitable for their purpose. .

That is why a team of chemical engineering specialists from Tufts University in Massachusetts presented their new interesting development of special colored threads embedded in the fabric of clothing that can detect the presence of harmful and dangerous impurities in the atmosphere, demonstrating this by changing their primary color.

Such a development, as it becomes clear from the preliminary description, has a truly remarkable level of quality and a lower price compared to traditional signal electronics. The threads themselves are a combination of special fabrics and polymers treated with dyes, namely MnTPP dye, blue bromothymol and red methyl. The first two can detect the presence of ammonium gas, and the third - oxygen chloride.

They then made their surface more resistant and stronger by treating them with acetic acid, and after that they added an organic polymer called polydimethylsiloxane - or PDMS for short - which made the outer sheath of the colored threads more chemically stable while at the same time allowing it to change the color indication of the paint. depending on the presence of a particular harmful gas in the atmosphere. It should be noted that so far the development is experimental and does not claim to be widely distributed on the market and in medicine in general.

A similar fabric option that can detect traces of harmful gas impurities can be really great in the long run, serving as a chemical and engineering base for creating even more versatile and accurate designs in this segment. Thus, we have to wait for news regarding the progress in the development and modernization of such a colored fabric, which will surely surprise everyone in the future!

Cool scheme, I have been looking for a simpler one for a long time [up]

Vadim
R5 of what value .... how powerful thyristors can be installed? I need to control a 400 volt and 30 kilowatt asynchronous ... voltage in the phases of a rectangle or a sine? is it possible to change the frequency of rotation-chastotnik-engine .. if not? then how will industrial chastotniki react to this device? Please reply to email

There is an error in the schema. The 13th leg of LE5 must connect with the 4th leg of IR2.
