A heat engine needs a heater and a refrigerator. When its working fluid is pentane, with a boiling point of + 28 ° C at normal atmospheric pressure, the heater can also be simply warm air collected from the sun in a heat trap. Osadchy proposes to make it in the form of a hemisphere of selective glass and place the evaporator of the heliohydraulic pump there (see Fig.).

In the trap, according to the designer's calculations, it will be several tens of degrees warmer than outside, so even at an "ambient" temperature below +20°C, pentane in chamber 1 will evaporate.

Steam presses on liquid pentane in pipe 2, forcing it through valve 3 into cavity 4, and acts on membrane 5. It also squeezes water out of cavity 6 through valve 7, which can be used to irrigate fields, put out fires, etc. When there is little liquid pentane in pipe 2 and its lower part is exposed, which is forcibly cooled, say, with ice stored from winter, pentane vapor will begin to condense on the cold inner walls of the pipe. A low pressure area will be created, where the steam will rush until all of it condenses. When the pressure in the pipe becomes lower than atmospheric pressure, valve 8 opens, and water, for example, from a lake, under atmospheric pressure, begins to fill cavity 7. Membrane 5 presses on liquid pentane in the lower part of the pipe, valve 9 opens, letting liquid into the pipe, and further - to the evaporator, where steam is formed again. The cycle is repeated.

The solar hydropump can supply not only water, but also, for example, oil. It will drive hydraulic motors that turn generators at the power plant. Then she will not need traditional fuel, which is very environmentally friendly and convenient, especially for hard-to-reach areas.
