The smaller the cubic capacity of the car engine, the more stringent requirements are imposed on its design, manufacture, and assembly. The high-speed, cord 1,5 cm3, which we offer, has been refined for many years, it takes into account the shortcomings of previous designs and new directions in the creation of "one and a half cups".

Front axle pendulum type with rubber shock absorber. The quality of its work depends on the cross-section and elasticity of the rubber. It must be soft enough for the bridge to work satisfactorily on cordodromes with varying quality of concrete pavement. Front axle body material - V95T (D16T can be used). It contains two bearings No. 1840083. Front wheels with weld-on tires (thickness - 2,5 mm, diameter - 42 mm). Particular attention should be paid to ensure that the rotation of the wheels is exceptionally light, but without vibration.

The rear, driving axle is made of HVG steel, heat-treated to a hardness of HRC = 38?42. After heat treatment, all mounting holes for bearings are finished with expandable plexiglass laps. When seating bearings, the thermal expansion of the outer race and housing must be taken into account.

The bridge is suspended in a steel frame made of steel 40X (НRC=38-42) on bearings No. 1840083.

The gears are made of steel 12XH3A followed by carbonitriding. Bearings No. 1000095 (5X13X4) should be pressed in, but without the use of tools. It is necessary to achieve an easy, smooth, jamming-free rotation of the gears. Pay special attention to the correct installation of gears, the center distance between which is regulated by special gaskets. In case of slight "biting", the tooth must be flanked with a diamond file, removing 0,02 - 0,4 mm from the vertical part of the tooth to achieve the required contact spot.

At both ends of the shaft, two hubs made of steel 40X (HRC = 3842) are tightly fitted on the keys, to which the drive wheels are attached with three M3 screws.

Gears - m 0,8, Z14, Z27. The diameter of the rear wheels is 68 mm.

Rotation from the crankshaft to the driven gear of the gearbox is transmitted using a "cardan shaft" - a cylindrical rod with two spherical hexagons at the ends. Thanks to the use of this roller, the exact alignment of the engine and the gearbox is not so necessary, and also the losses in the transmission of torque when the axle vibrates on the irregularities of the cordodrome are reduced very significantly.

The rear axle is suspended on a spring shock absorber. If necessary, to adjust the stiffness of the bridge, depending on the conditions of the cordodrome, a cylinder of porous rubber can be inserted inside the spring.

The case (pallet) is made of material D16T. It has rounded contours to reduce windage, which is especially important for models of the 1,5 cm3 class.

The lid is made of lime, it is painted with synthetic enamel and fastened with three screws to the pallet.

Double action stopping device, it is very convenient and reliable in operation.

The tank is made of stainless steel 0,3 mm thick.

The resonant tube is machined from duralumin, its walls are 0,25-0,3 mm thick. For ease of adjustment, it has a rossi-type telescopic connector.

The cord strap is cut out of BT10 titanium sheet (section - 2X12 mm, diameter of the hole for the carabiner - 6 mm, length from this hole to the center of the model - 226 mm).

A few words about the engine. It is self-made, three-channel. Piston diameter - 13 mm, stroke - 11,2 mm. Valve timing: outlet 180° c.c., purge 135° c.c. Suction phases: beginning - 10 ° after BDC, end - 45 ° after TDC.

The total weight of the model is 780-800 g.

Adam II - a tablet with a two-sided display 17.12.2013

Indian company Notion Ink has started selling the Adam II tablet, which features an additional monochrome display that displays notifications. Unlike Yota Phone, here the display is located not on the back side, but on the end of the device. Its resolution is 100 x 5 pixels.
