What conditions will an astronaut find on Venus?

The dense cloudy atmosphere of the morning star that shines so brightly in our sky is made up mostly of carbon dioxide (carbon dioxide). During the Venusian day, which lasts 8,3 Earth years, its surface is illuminated only by reddish twilight light. Frequent lightning strikes from dark clouds and rains of sulfuric acid fall. The temperature during the day and at night reaches 480 °C.

The bright brilliance of the planet in the earth's sky is due to the high reflectivity of the upper layer of the Venusian clouds.

Random interesting fact from the Great Encyclopedia:

What is cryptography?

Surely most of you have ever wanted to create a system for exchanging secret messages with each other. This happens frequently in children. Perhaps you agreed to use numbers instead of letters. Each number will correspond to a specific letter of the alphabet. Then you use this code. Cryptography is writing using a secret code. Sometimes the word "cipher" is used instead of the word "code". It is known that Julius Caesar used cipher to protect his secret messages from the enemy. Nowadays, ciphers and codes are widely used in both government and business secret correspondence.

There are basically two ways to encrypt. The first is based on the substitution of numbers, letters or other characters in the text. The other is reshuffling, out-of-order letters in a text message. Based on these two methods, you can create an infinite number of encryption options. The first is quite simple and is often used by children in their games.

The words "code", "encoding" suggest the use of special code tables when reading the encoded text, which are available to both the sender and the recipient of the letter. Codes, ciphers can be revealed by direct decryption methods, that is, by finding the key to them. However, this question is complex. The scientific method of reading cryptograms (secret messages) is at a high level of development and is called cryptanalysis.

A person reading cryptograms, as a rule, must determine in what language the secret text is composed. It is also necessary to establish how the text is classified: by coding or encryption. When revealing ciphers, codes, tables are needed that are often used in the language of letters, as well as much more.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

New material changes shape 27.09.2016

Employees at the University of North Carolina have been able to develop an innovative material that can change shape on its own.

At the stage of creation, a program is laid in the material, with the help of which it can change over time. The innovativeness of this material lies in the fact that in the process of change it does not need third-party factors. Its creation was made possible by combining two polymers with different properties. One of them allows you to set the shape, due to its feature of energy conservation, and the second can set the speed of its release. The first sample was an artificial flower, which gradually opens itself.

Scientists hope that their development will help make a breakthrough in implantology. The shape-shifting properties of the material will make it possible to use it in the creation of children's implants that will grow with their wearers.
