Focus Description:

Turn both hands palms up and invite the viewer to place one coin in your palms. Close your fingers, pinching these coins, and then have the spectator place the other two coins on your clenched palms - closer to your nails.

- In each of my palms, two coins are clamped, - tell the viewer.

- Now I’ll try to make sure that by turning my hands, there will be three coins in one palm, and only one in the other. Then sharply turn your hands with your palms pressed down, and two coins will fall onto the table.

- It didn’t work the first time. Please put the coins in the same way again.

And turn your hands, palms clenched into fists, upward. Let the spectator put the coins back in the same places. After this, rotate the brushes again.

“Now everything turned out as it should,” tell the viewer. Turn your hands palms up and open them. There will indeed be three coins on the left palm, and only one on the right palm.

Focus secret:

The key to this amazing movement is the double rotation of the hands. During the first turn, you slightly unclenched your fists, and the coin, located on the phalanges of the fingers of your left hand, slipped through the opened gap, where it settled in the palm of your hand next to the coin located there. The coins that were in the right hand both fell onto the table: one from the phalanges of the fingers, and the other from the gap formed between the palm and the tips of the fingers.

Focus Amazing moving coins

Thus, as a result of the first turn, there were two coins in your left hand, and none in your right hand. During the second turn, a slight unclenching of the fingers of both hands occurred again, as a result of which the coins located on the phalanges of the fingers of both hands were hidden in the cracks formed in the palm. If you now open your fingers, the viewer will see three coins in the palm of your left hand, and one in the palm of your right hand.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Memory Samsung DRAM CXL 2.0 128 GB 10.05.2023

Samsung has introduced the world's first DRAM solution based on the new CXL 2.0 standard. This 128 GB DRAM is designed for use in high performance computing devices and servers.

Samsung has worked with Intel on this new standard.

The CXL 2.0 DRAM supports PCIe 5.0 and uses 8 lanes. It provides data transfer rates up to 35 Gbps. The new CXL 2.0 standard (unlike the previous generation) now supports memory pooling. This memory management method links multiple blocks of memory on a server to create memory pools and allows hosts to dynamically allocate pool memory based on their needs. This improves overall efficiency and reduces operating costs.

So far, such memory is intended only for use in server systems. Manufacturers are still working on consumer grade CXL memory.

Samsung has announced that it intends to start mass production of CXL 2.0 DRAM later this year. It will offer its customers various device sizes for high performance computing systems and servers. These solutions can increase the bandwidth and capacity of the main DRAM on the server, enabling better AI and machine learning performance.
