Focus Description:

How to draw the selected card to the spectators' account from the shuffled deck.

Focus secret:

The first method

Have a member of the audience draw a card from the deck. Fan out the deck so the spectator can put the card back into the deck, and place your little finger on it as soon as the spectator returns the card. Close the deck without removing the little finger, and make a volt so that the chosen card is on top. After that, you hide the card in your hand.

Let the audience shuffle the deck themselves. When the deck is returned to you, first put the chosen card on top of the deck, and then hide the top two cards in your hand. You can now shuffle the deck using the first fake shuffle method. As a result, the selected card will be the second from the bottom of the deck.

Take the deck face down in your left hand and casually turn it around so that the bottom card is visible to the spectators. Ask the audience what the score of the selected card should be. After that, take the deck face down and with the index and ring fingers of the right hand, remove the cards from the end, throw them face down on the table, counting aloud.

First you throw the bottom card on the table, the second card (chosen) you hold with the ring finger of your left hand, and instead you take the next one. So you continue counting until you reach the number preceding the one called by the audience. Then you say, "Now should be the card you have chosen. Can you remind me which card it is?" Then, without turning over, put the card on the table. After the spectator names the card, you ask someone to turn over the last card you drew, and everyone sees that it is the same card.

second method

After choosing a card, you put it in the deck, transfer it to the top with a volt and hide it in your hand. After shuffling the deck, you place the card on top of the deck. Ask the public for the number under which you must pull out the card. Let's say seven. To this you reply: "Let's make sure that there is no map in this place now." You deal the first seven cards face down and turn over only the seventh card. Everyone can see that this is not the right card. After that, you return all seven cards back to the deck, and in the right order, that is, the seventh card is chosen.

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The threat of space debris to the Earth's magnetic field 01.05.2024

More and more often we hear about an increase in the amount of space debris surrounding our planet. However, it is not only active satellites and spacecraft that contribute to this problem, but also debris from old missions. The growing number of satellites launched by companies like SpaceX creates not only opportunities for the development of the Internet, but also serious threats to space security. Experts are now turning their attention to the potential implications for the Earth's magnetic field. Dr. Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics emphasizes that companies are rapidly deploying satellite constellations, and the number of satellites could grow to 100 in the next decade. The rapid development of these cosmic armadas of satellites can lead to contamination of the Earth's plasma environment with dangerous debris and a threat to the stability of the magnetosphere. Metal debris from used rockets can disrupt the ionosphere and magnetosphere. Both of these systems play a key role in protecting the atmosphere and maintaining ... >>

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>

Enhanced LED Driver IC 09.05.2020

Maxim Integrated Products has released a new family of ICs for automotive circuits. The MAX25601A/B/C/D contain a synchronous boost controller followed by a synchronous LED buck driver controller.

The boost controller's input voltage range of 4,5V to 40V is ideal for automotive applications. In fact, this controller serves as a preliminary boost regulator for the second stage of the microcircuit - a step-down LED controller.

The synchronous boost converter operates in inductor current control mode and can be connected in parallel with another device to increase output power. The SYNCOUT pin, designed to control the RT / SYNCIN pin of another device, allows you to organize anti-phase synchronization of two microcircuits operating in parallel. The switching frequency of the boost converter is programmable from 200 kHz to 2,2 MHz. To reduce the level of electromagnetic interference, an expansion of the spectrum of the synchronization signal is implemented.

An internal digitally controlled soft-start circuit ensures that the buck output ramps up smoothly. The list of safety features includes pulsing mode, overvoltage protection, and crystal overtemperature shutdown.
