Focus Description:

Show a 50x50 cm scarf on both sides. Take a candle and cover it with this handkerchief. Bring a burning match from above and light a candle. When it lights up, move the handkerchief in different directions. The candle burns, and the handkerchief remains completely unharmed. Extinguish the candle, then remove and show the whole handkerchief.

Focus Miracle Candle

Focus secret:

The handkerchief is really completely intact before and after, and when demonstrating this trick. And the whole secret is in the device of the candle. An ordinary round gas lighter is inserted into a tube made of thick white paper, so it is not visible. When the lighter is lit, the gas rises and passes easily through the handkerchief. The handkerchief itself does not light up, as it moves in one direction or the other, which is quite enough.

Bringing a burning match to the handkerchief, do not forget to open the gas at the same time.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. DNA from skin cells to create eggs 05.04.2024

Infertility is a serious problem faced by many couples around the world. One of the common causes of infertility is damage or degradation of eggs. In this context, researchers around the world are working on methods that could help couples facing this problem. One of the latest advances in this field is the use of DNA from skin cells to create eggs.

Researchers from the University of Oregon have announced the creation of a revolutionary method that can help couples with infertility problems. They developed a procedure to use DNA from skin cells to form functional eggs.

Representatives of the OHSU team conducted a series of experiments on mice, where they were able to replace the nuclei of eggs with skin cells and, as a result, obtain haploid cells that are difficult to distinguish from natural eggs. This method involves replacing egg nuclei with donor skin cells, which opens up new prospects in the field of reproductive medicine.

One of the main advantages of this method is its speed. According to Dr. Paula Amato, one of the study participants, this avoids the lengthy process of cell reprogramming, which reduces the risk of genetic and epigenetic changes.

This discovery opens up new perspectives in the treatment of infertility. The ability to create functional eggs from skin cells could revolutionize reproductive medicine, giving couples facing infertility problems a new chance at their own offspring.

Using DNA from skin cells to create eggs represents an important step in the field of reproductive medicine. This discovery not only expands our knowledge of the mechanisms of egg development, but also provides new hope and opportunities for couples facing infertility problems.
