Focus Description:

The magician appears on stage. On his head he has an Indian national headdress - a turban. With one hand, the artist holds a wicker basket, wrapping it around. In his other hand he has a shepherd's flute (Fig. 55). The performer plays an oriental melody, and a cobra's head suddenly appears from the basket. Fascinated by the sounds of the melody, the snake slowly crawls out of the basket. She then stands on her tail, then spreads along the edge of the basket.

The performer switches to a cheerful dance tune, and the cobra begins to squirm. Echoing the rhythm of the melody, she moves first to one side of the basket, then to the other. And the performer continues to play a cheerful melody, encouraging the cobra. He leans towards her head and smiles slyly. But the cobra, continuing to dance, suddenly grabs the performer by the nose. In desperation, he is forced to run away from the stage.

Focus secret:

For the trick, a wicker round basket, a cobra mask, a fake hand, a flute and a turban are needed. A turban can be made from any simple plain material, from any scarf. There is a secret hole in the wall of the basket, into which the performer's hand easily passes. The mask - the head of a cobra - is attached to a cover 60-70 cm long. The outer side of the cover, made of fabric, is painted to match the color of the cobra's body.

The basket is hung on a strap and worn around the neck. The wall of the basket with a hidden hole is adjacent to the body of the performer. Then the performer puts on a jacket on his right hand, and puts a fake hand in his left sleeve, which clasps the basket. To keep it from falling, the fake hand is attached to the wall of the basket. On the left free hand, slightly above the elbow, they pull the cover of the body of the cobra and push it through a secret hole into the basket. They take a flute in the right hand and begin to demonstrate the trick. Of course, playing the flute can only be imitated mimicically, and at this time the accompanist will play an oriental melody. To the sound of music, the left hand smoothly crawls out of the basket, playing the role of a dancing cobra. Hand movements with a cobra mask must be very plastic, natural and fully consistent with the rhythm of the musical accompaniment. At the same time, the mimic game of the performer with an imaginary cobra is going on.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

The dangers of 5G communications for the health of bees 30.05.2019

Currently, insects are on the verge of extinction due to the use of various pesticides by farmers and advances in technology. However, according to experts, the real situation can worsen at times: insects are unlikely to survive the new generation of mobile communications. A real miracle will happen if they do survive.

Experts have been talking about the disappearance of bees for a long time. They are negatively affected by 2G, 3G, 4G, and soon the list will be replenished with 5G. The new communication standard will be a ticking time bomb. Researchers from the Swiss organization "Pro Natur" found that radiation affects the antennae of insects, raising the temperature of the entire body. Maybe in the near future there will be no bees and invertebrate arthropods at all. This will result in a real collapse of civilizations.

The new generation of communications will operate at 120 GHz, while existing standards operate at 6 GHz. Frequencies above 10 GHz are used by insects. Therefore, 5G has the potential to change the physiology and behavior of arthropods.

Scientists call on the authorities of the countries where the launch of the technology is planned to present operators with increased requirements for environmental control. Otherwise, the world will starve.
