Focus Description:

The performer takes from the table a bright red cube from an ordinary porous sponge. Putting it on the open palm of his left hand, he squeezes the cube in his fist, counting to three. Then he opens his hand again, and on it the audience sees three balls instead of a cube: red, white and black. Now the performer squeezes these three balls into his fist and, looking slyly at the audience, again counts to three, then opens his palm.

Spectators see that the balls have disappeared without a trace, and instead of them, a bunny stands in the palm of the performer (Fig. 50). Its head and ears are red, its body is white, and its paws and tail are black. In a word, the coloring of the bunny corresponds to the disappeared three colored balls.

Focus secret:

On one side of the porous cube, a deep spherical hole is cut so that, if this cube is turned inside out, it will take the form of a red ball.

A bunny figure is cut out of a piece of white sponge. A hole is made in the lower part of his body and a spherical cavity is cut from the inside, as in a cube. The head and ears of the bunny are painted red, the paws and tail are black, the body remains white. The last detail of the props is a ball cut out of a sponge and painted black. This ball is no secret.

So, the performer has a red cube with a secret hole, a bunny figurine, hollow inside, and a black ball. This prop must be prepared for the demonstration of the trick. The black ball is placed in the hole of the red cube. The bunny is turned inside out, and it takes the form of a white ball, which is also placed inside the red cube. Now the "charged" cube can be placed on the illusion table.

You need to take the cube from the table so that its secret hole is always facing the performer. It is placed on the open palm with the secret side down. Having shown it to the audience, the performer clenches his fist and squeezes the cube. Then he inserts the index finger of his right hand into his left fist and presses the cube from the side opposite the secret hole. At this moment, the first effect of the trick will occur: white and black balls will roll out from inside the cube into the performer's hand, and the cube itself will turn inside out and take the form of a red ball. Having held the balls a little on the palm of his left hand, the performer again squeezes them in his fist. Instead of three balls, a bunny should now appear.

This effect is somewhat more complicated than the previous one. First of all, helping with the index finger of the right hand, the performer presses on the white secret ball from the side opposite the hole, and it turns inside out, taking the form of a bunny. Then the remaining black and red balls are driven into the hollow figure of a bunny through a hole in the body. After that, the performer opens his left palm - and a second trick effect occurs: the balls have disappeared, and a funny bunny has appeared instead.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
