The magician shows the audience a banana. When it is cleaned, it falls apart into as many pieces as the number chosen by the helper.

Focus secret:

In order for everything to work out according to plan, we will make a little preparation. Right before the performance, stick a thick needle into a banana at a distance of one third from the top. Slightly shake the needle from side to side. In the same way, we make a second hole with a needle at a distance of one third from the bottom of the banana.

Let's prepare the cards. To do this, cut out four pieces of cardboard and write a number on each card. One of them must be three. Now you need to force the assistant to select the desired number. It is done like this. We lay out the cards face up in front of the assistant and ask us to choose any two. If the assistant did not choose 3, we remove the two cards that he chose. And vice versa, if the card with the number 3 is selected, we remove the two unselected cards. Now we ask the assistant to choose one of the remaining cards. We act in the same way as before (if he showed at 3, we hide another card, if not, we remove the card he showed).
