Focus Description:

On the magician's illusion table is a cylinder or box. The performer approaches the table and takes out a handkerchief from the cylinder. Taking it with both hands, the magician shows the handkerchief on both sides to the audience (Fig. 1).

Then the performer covers the cylinder with this handkerchief so that its two corners are facing the viewer. Taking the handkerchief by the corners, the artist folds it in half, keeping his hands at the same level. Next, the performer pulls the scarf folded in half horizontally, tilts it over the cylinder, says: “Ko-ko-ko,” and an egg rolls out of the scarf into the cylinder (Fig. 2).

After that, the artist again shows the handkerchief on both sides to the audience and again performs the same manipulations with it - another egg rolls out of the handkerchief into the cylinder. And no matter how many times the artist repeated this trick, each time an egg rolled out of the handkerchief into the cylinder. Not a scarf, but a real record-breaking laying hen.

Focus secret:

For this trick, you will need a 40 x 40 cm colored scarf, a cylinder or cardboard box and a chicken egg.

An egg with a secret is prepared as follows. In an ordinary chicken egg, a small hole is made through which its contents are drunk. Then you need to take a black thread 30 cm long, tie a piece of a match to it and insert it deeper into the egg through the hole. The other end of the thread is firmly sewn to the middle of one of the sides of the scarf (Fig. 3). This handkerchief should be placed in a cylinder or box in advance.

When demonstrating the trick, the performer must, showing the handkerchief to the audience, hold it by the corners so that the thread is not visible (its length will allow the handkerchief to be freely lifted and rotated over the cylinder). Align the corners and fold the scarf so that the egg hides inside the scarf.

Having shown the scarf to the audience on both sides, the performer lays it out on the cylinder with free corners towards the audience. Then he takes the handkerchief by the corners closest to it (Fig. 4), combines them, holding them with the fingers of his right hand, and with his left he takes the edge of the middle of the handkerchief. In the hands of the magician is a scarf folded in half (see Fig. 4). He lifts it above the cylinder, and passes the middle of the edge of the folded handkerchief from his left hand to his right, continuing to hold the corners.

With the freed left hand, the artist takes on the other two corners; Then the performer pulls the scarf folded in half horizontally and, slightly tilting it to the left above the cylinder and lifting the right side of the scarf, saying “magic”: “Ko-ko-ko”, makes it possible for the egg to roll out (Fig. 5).

By repeating this trick several times, the performer can create the illusion of an endless appearance of eggs in a scarf.

When preparing this trick, you should especially carefully study the figures in the text. This will make focusing much easier.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food.
