Focus Description:

This is, without a doubt, one of the simplest and most ingenious ways to find out the text of a short message, word or number written by the viewer. When executed properly, you deceive the audience with such ease and simplicity that no one even realizes that some kind of trick was used. As a result, many are ready to admit that you really read other people's thoughts. Naturally, you will dissuade the public of this, but at the same time, do not reveal the secret so that it remains a mystery.

The magician gives the spectator a square piece of paper and a pencil, inviting him to write a name, a number or even a short message in the center of the piece of paper. The spectator writes something in the center of the piece of paper, while the magician stands with his back to him. Then the spectator folds the piece of paper in half, and then in four, so that the magician cannot read the recording. The magician tears the folded paper into small pieces, throws the pieces into the ashtray and burns them. However, he knows what the viewer has written and announces the text, or number, or word!

Focus secret:

A.Put a box of matches in the left pocket of your jacket or trousers, and place an ashtray on the table.

C. Cut a piece of paper from a sheet of paper in the form of a square with a side of 7 cm. Draw a circle with a diameter of about 5 cm on one side, exactly in the center.

1. Hand the piece of paper to the viewer, asking him to write a word or short message within the “magic circle”. Make sure the viewer understands that you are not supposed to see what he is writing on the piece of paper.

2. When the message is written down, invite the viewer to fold the piece of paper in half, with the text inside.

3. Then it must be folded again, that is, four times.

4. Take the folded piece of paper from the spectator. By looking at it, you will instantly determine at what angle the “magic circle” is located. Note. During rehearsal, fold the piece of paper several times yourself: this will help you instantly find the desired corner of the piece of paper.

5. Having established the corner in which the “magic circle” is located, hold the piece of paper so that this corner is the upper right corner for you. Tear the folded piece of paper in half without touching the “magic circle”.

6. After tearing the folded piece of paper, place the scraps of your left hand behind the scraps of your right hand and hold everything with your left hand. The "Magic Circle" will be on top of your side of the stack of scraps.

7. Turn the stack ninety degrees to the right and grab it with your right hand. The “magic circle” is located on your side; you hold it with the thumb and forefinger of your right hand. Rip the stack in half again.

8. Again, place the scraps that are in your left hand behind the scraps that remain in your right hand. Then grasp this stack with the fingertips of your right hand. The "magic circle" is still located on your side under the thumb of your right hand.

9. Hold the shot glass in your right hand, holding it between your thumb and index finger. Raise your right hand over the ashtray. Throw all the scraps, except the “magic circle” that is adjacent to the pad of your thumb, into the ashtray. When throwing off the scraps, use your thumb to move the “magic circle” to the inside of the middle phalanges of the fingers.

10. Now you secretly hold the "magic circle" with the fingers of your right hand. The remaining scraps of leaf are in the ashtray. The audience does not know that you left one fragment (with text) in your hand.

11. Having safely hidden the “magic circle” in your right hand, you take out matches from your pocket with your left hand. Using two hands, you remove the match, light it, and ignite the scraps of paper in the ashtray. Place the box on the table with your right hand and hold a burning match in your left.

12. While the audience is carefully watching the fire in the ashtray, casually lower your right hand below table level and with your thumb, unfold the “magic circle” hidden in the fingers of your right hand. Having glanced at the text in passing and read it, crumple or fold the fragment again. The papers continue to burn, and you take the box of matches from the table and put it - and the "magic circle" - in your right pocket. During these operations, your entire attention should be focused on the smoke rising from the ashtray. Then you announce the text that the viewer wrote!

Most importantly, do not forget for a minute that the right hand, in which the “magic circle” is hidden, should look naturally relaxed. Lowering your right hand under the table, ask the audience at this time to carefully monitor how the paper burns, and then glance absentmindedly at the text. You have just become acquainted with the classic method, which is used not only by magicians, but also by mediums - scammers during spiritualistic seances and psychics. The strength of this procedure is that it uses only ordinary household items. When properly staged, this simple deception looks like a real miracle!

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The threat of space debris to the Earth's magnetic field 01.05.2024

More and more often we hear about an increase in the amount of space debris surrounding our planet. However, it is not only active satellites and spacecraft that contribute to this problem, but also debris from old missions. The growing number of satellites launched by companies like SpaceX creates not only opportunities for the development of the Internet, but also serious threats to space security. Experts are now turning their attention to the potential implications for the Earth's magnetic field. Dr. Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics emphasizes that companies are rapidly deploying satellite constellations, and the number of satellites could grow to 100 in the next decade. The rapid development of these cosmic armadas of satellites can lead to contamination of the Earth's plasma environment with dangerous debris and a threat to the stability of the magnetosphere. Metal debris from used rockets can disrupt the ionosphere and magnetosphere. Both of these systems play a key role in protecting the atmosphere and maintaining ... >>

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>
