Focus Description:

Here is a comic trick, the secret of which you will let everyone in the audience know, except for one spectator, a volunteer assisting you on stage. The volunteer who decides to help you will be the only spectator who will be deceived by this procedure, to the general pleasure of the audience.

A magician shows the audience three pairs of ping pong balls, each pair a different color: one pair is white, one is red and the third is blue. The magician puts the balls into a paper bag and invites two spectators onto the stage to assist him. The spectator standing to the left of the performer is invited to put his hand into the bag - without looking inside - and take out any ball. It doesn’t matter what color ball he takes out, another spectator, without looking inside, takes out a ball after him, always takes out a pair of this ball, that is, a ball of the same color. The supply of balls in the bag is replenished. The procedure is repeated again and again, and still with the same amazing result.

Focus secret:

The first viewer does not see what the whole audience is laughing at, what the second viewer sees: the bag on the side has a transparent window through which all the balls are visible. Thanks to the secret window, everyone sees what the trick is based on, except for the spectator standing to the left of the magician, who throughout the entire procedure never realizes that the package is not simple.

A. Buy a regular paper bag or a bag like a standard lunch bag and cut a hole in the side. It must be positioned so that when folded, the hole is completely covered by the bottom of the bag. This will allow you to show the folded package from all sides to prove its authenticity.

C. Cover the hole with clear plastic, such as grocery wrap, using duct tape to prevent the balls from falling out of the bag during the show. The bag is ready. Thus, you have made a “window” in it, allowing you to see the balls.

C. Buy six regular ping pong balls. Make three different colored pairs of them, coloring them in contrasting colors, which can be done with a marker sold at any office supply store.

Instead of ping pong balls, you can use lightweight plastic or rubber children's balls, which can be found at a toy store. Make sure that all the balls are the same size and made of the same material so that it is impossible to distinguish them from each other by touch. Now your props are ready and you can act out the comedy.

1. Invite two volunteers onto the stage and ask them to stand facing the audience on opposite sides of you. Show the balls, drawing the audience's attention to the fact that there are six balls and they are in three pairs of different colors. Then take a paper bag from the table and show it from all sides in a folded state so that everyone - especially the viewer on the left - can see that the bag is ordinary. Arrange the bag so that the "window" faces the audience (not the viewer on the left) and openly drop six balls into it. The public will immediately notice that the bag is specially prepared and will further understand “why”.

2. Addressing the viewer on the left, invite him to take one ball from the bag, without looking into it. Ask him to hide the ball in his fist so that no one but him can see what color it is. Bring the bag to him so that he does not see or guess that there is a “window”.

3. When he takes the ball, turn your whole body to the right and explain to the second spectator that he must concentrate as much as possible, thinking about the thoughts of the first spectator, put his hand into the bag and try to get the ball that is a pair of the one that was just taken from the bag. Hold the bag so that the second viewer can see the window. He will instantly understand the essence of the draw as soon as he looks out the “window”, since there will be only one ball left in the bag without a matching color.

4. As soon as the second spectator takes out the marble, suggest that they both show their chosen marbles to the audience at the same time. It turns out that the selected balls match each other in color.

5. Next, ask them to put the balls in the bag and do this procedure several times. Each time the second viewer will be more and more surprised and puzzled by the stunning coincidence, to the general delight of the audience in the hall. He is unaware of the presence of a “window” in the bag and therefore is unable to explain the reason for the incredible series of “random coincidences”.

After completing the performance, humorously reveal the secret to the puzzled spectator by “accidentally” turning the bag “window” towards him as you shake his hand. Thank both viewers for participating in the giveaway.

The most suitable moment for such a comedy would be the beginning of the party, when not all the invitees have gathered and it is too early to start the full show. Tell Mr. Left that next time he will play the role of Mr. Right. When the rest of the guests arrive, repeat the prank, inviting one of them as Mr. Left, and take the victim of the previous prank as Mr. Right so that he can enjoy the bewildered look of the other guest. You can repeat this comedy again upon the arrival of the next batch of guests - an excellent prelude to the performance.

Note. This trick should be presented in soft, humorous tones, so as not to offend the voluntary assistant, who does not know that this is not a trick, but a practical joke.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Robots with artificial intelligence can replace journalists 28.01.2019

The world's leading media outlets have long been using artificial intelligence (AI) and technology in some of their content. Almost a third of the content published by Bloomberg News is created using automated technologies. Thanks to the system, which is called Cyborg, the publication creates thousands of news.

The Associated Press uses robots to generate news about US minor league baseball - AI does an excellent job of announcing match results and identifying the best players. AP began exploiting technology for content writing back in 2014 by signing a contract with Automated Insights.

Recently, the Australian version of The Guardian released the first story written by artificial intelligence - it was devoted to the volume of donations to a particular political party. Forbes is currently testing a tool called Bertie that will help reporters by generating content templates for them.

The Washington Post employs the Heliograf robot, which proved its worth during the 2016 Summer Olympics and the US presidential election. In addition, Heliograf has been involved in publications covering local elections in certain regions - a practice called geotargeting.

Despite the fact that there are mistakes in the work of artificial intelligence, experts welcome the use of robots in the media. First of all, the AI does not require spell checking - it is "naturally literate" and follows all the language rules that are embedded in it.
