Focus Description:

The magician shows the audience a meter rope. Holding the rope with both hands, he ties it in the standard bowtie knot used for shoe laces. Then he threads the ends of the rope through the loops of the knot and stretches the rope. A hopelessly tight knot is formed, with which almost every viewer has had to deal with in life. However, in violation of all the laws of nature, the conjurer makes the knot melt without a trace in front of everyone!

Focus secret:

For this trick, you only need a soft meter rope.

1. Show the audience the rope and lay it on the fingers of the right and left hands, as shown in the figure. The left hand should be above the right, the palms of the hands facing you, and the back of the hand facing the audience.

2. Hold the rope in this position by pressing it down with your thumbs.

3. Then move the right hand to the left so that the rope runs under the fingers of the left hand and over the fingers of the right hand.

4. Now bring your right hand behind your left.

5. Grasp the rope with the tips of the index and middle fingers of your right hand. At the same time, grab the rope with the index and middle fingers of your left hand.

6. Holding the rope firmly at two points between the fingers of each hand, begin to spread your arms to the sides.

7. Continue spreading your arms, and in the middle of the rope, a "butterfly" boot knot will begin to form.

8. Gently tighten the butterfly knot.

9. Pull the thumb and index finger of the left hand through the left loop and grab the left end of the rope.

11. Pull the thumb and forefinger of the right hand through the right loop, grab the right end of the rope with them.

12. Pull the end of the rope through the loop.

13. Release the knot and gently pull the ends of the rope to the sides so that the knot is pulled into a large ball in the middle. If you followed exactly the instructions of the technique, then this knot is false or, in the terminology of magicians, a knot that melts. Don't pull too hard on the ends or it will "melt" out of time.

14. Show the knot from all sides to the audience, explaining that the lace is constantly tangled in such knots, especially in children. “It’s a pity,” say further, “that at this moment there is no magician next to them who would help them by blowing on the knot.” With these words, pull the ends and the knot will magically disappear without a trace.

At first, when you take up the study of this trick, it will seem complicated and difficult to you. Carefully follow the sequence of actions in the drawings.

Tying a knot with a "butterfly" and threading the ends into its wings is done easily and naturally, and it is desirable to accompany the actions with an interesting story. For example, that you were interested in tricks as a child, when you discovered that getting a lace into the wings of a butterfly knot inevitably ends in a knot that defies any effort. And you began to "learn to be a wizard." That's when you learned that by pulling the ends of the lace and blowing on it at the same time (or saying a spell), you can get rid of the knot, which will magically melt.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Powerful AMD SoCs 16.01.2013

At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), AMD unveiled its 2013 Accelerated Processing Units (APUs). based on x86 architecture. The release is planned for the first half of 2013.

Temash is AMD's top low-power mobile processor for Windows 8 tablets and hybrid devices. AMD expects Temash to be the world's highest performing SoC for tablets. Kabini, on the other hand, is designed for thin laptops, delivering long battery life and high levels of performance in both dual and quad-core configurations. Kabini is expected to provide over 50% performance improvement over the previous generation of AMD APUs (codenamed Brazos 2.0.)

AMD also unveiled a new APU, codenamed Richland, which is currently shipping to OEMs. Its main advantage is that it contributes to a 20-40% increase in graphics processing performance compared to the previous generation of AMD A-series APUs. Richland will be followed by a 28nm Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) codenamed Kaveri APU, which is expected to begin shipping in the second half of 2013.

The new Richland processor significantly improves CPU and graphics performance while extending battery life. Richland APUs are expected to ship with custom software such as facial expression and gesture recognition, wireless direct TV and monitor connectivity, and system resource prioritization for streaming video playback.

"With the release of the new 2013 APU lineup, AMD is committed to capturing fast-growing consumer market segments," said Lisa Su, senior vice president and general manager of AMD Global. We strive to bring truly inclusive computing to their daily lives. The introduction of advanced APU technologies to the market, including the industry's first single-chip, quad-core, x86-based APU, is a big step, reaffirming our excellence in computer graphics and gaming." .
