Focus Description:

The spectator divides the shuffled deck into four piles. He then moves down the top few cards in each pile and down a few cards from each pile to other piles. When asked at the end to turn over the top cards of each pile, they turn out to be four queens.

For this trick, the deck must be prepared in advance so that the four queens are the top four cards in the deck when it is face down.

1. For this trick, I usually ask some girl in the audience to help me. Let's say Anastasia wants to be an assistant. You tell her that you will shuffle the deck slightly first and perform a fake shuffle 1, keeping four queens on top of the deck.

2. Place the deck on the table in front of Anastasia and tell her to divide the deck into four more or less equal piles. Ask her to take a deck and put about a quarter of the cards in one pile, about the same number side by side in the second pile, then in the third, and the rest of the cards in the fourth at the end of the row. If you ask her to do it in that order, the result will be four ladies at the top of the fourth pile.

(If you let her lay out the four stacks her way, the four ladies might end up on top of another stack, like the second one, ruining your focus.)

3. Pointing to the first pile, say to Anastasia: "Take the first pile and, without looking at them, transfer the top three cards to the bottom of the pile. Great. Now deal one card from the top, face down, to any of the three piles." When she does, ask her to put the stack back in its place on the table. Now, pointing again at the pile so that there are no mistakes, ask her to take the second pile, and repeating the instructions, ask her to do the same as with the first pile. Repeat the same with stacks 3 and 4.

Hybrid ATV Krampus 24.04.2022

Lithuanian automakers have announced a new all-terrain vehicle (ATV) Krampus Mk1 to perform manned, semi-manned, remotely controlled and autonomous missions on the battlefield.

The hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system in silent mode provides a covert approach to the mission area, where a crew of two can dismount and independently direct the vehicle to forward firing positions.

The Krampus Mk1 is designed for a 500-kilogram payload, which can include remotely controlled anti-tank systems, killer drone launch systems, or anti-aircraft weapons systems. After completing the fire mission, the Krampus ATV must return to pick up its crew and continue the manned mission.
