Focus Description:

The rope goes through your finger with ease!

First option:

Focus secret:

Hold the rope loop with both hands, fingers turned towards you.

Focus Pulling the Rope

Throw the right side of the loop over the left, so that a smaller loop forms inside the large loop. Hold the junction of the ropes with your teeth.

Focus Pulling the Rope

Pull the large loop with your left thumb so that the smaller loop is under it. Now slide the index finger of your right hand from bottom to top through the smaller loop and slide it over the right side of the large loop down under the left side and towards your nose. Pressing the index finger of the right hand to the tip of the nose, at the same time pull the large loop with the thumb of the left hand and release the rope from the teeth.

Focus Pulling the Rope

The rope is released, and it looks like it went through your finger.

The second option:

Focus secret:

The length of a thin or thick rope should be about 1,2 m. Tie the ends of the rope with a knot. Put your thumbs through the loop and stretch the rope. Show everyone this rope, holding it at neck level.

"Now try to guess: what do I have - a magic rope or a magic neck? See for yourself."

Without removing your fingers, throw the rope loop over your head so that the rope is behind your neck.

Focus Pulling the Rope

Quickly join hands and slide the index finger of the left hand into the loop behind the thumb of the right hand. Pull the thumb of the right hand to the right, the index finger of the left hand to the left.

Focus Pulling the Rope

The thumb of the left hand naturally falls out of the loop, but only for a moment. Without hesitation, very quickly, without interrupting the movement, connect the thumb and forefinger of the left hand and continue to pull with the thumb to the left. Your left index finger will automatically release. With a quick movement, stretch the loop with your thumbs and show the rope to the audience. The position of the rope and fingers will be the same as at the very beginning. It seems that you managed to stretch the rope through the neck.

All movements are done in a split second. After practicing six times, you will remember and learn how to do this trick for the rest of your life.

This focus can be shown in another way. For example, you can pull the rope through the belt loop. You can make it even more effective if you stretch the rope around the arm of one of the spectators and then it will seem that it has passed through his arm.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Molecule crossed with light at room temperature 29.06.2016

A team of scientists from several institutions, led by the University of Cambridge, has managed to create a quantum state - half light and half molecule - at room temperature. This is the fundamental study of quantum processes, which is needed to better understand how photosynthesis works and even find ways to manipulate the physical and chemical properties of matter.

When a molecule emits a photon, that is, a quantum of light, then it does not come back by itself. But scientists managed to achieve this artificially. They placed individual molecules in a nanometer cavity, and forced the photon, which did not really fly out, to return to the molecule. It turned out that the energy flew back and forth between the light and the molecule, connecting both objects.

Previous attempts to mix molecules with light have met with difficulties, and scientists have only been able to do so at very low temperatures.

To work with individual molecules, the scientists created one-nanometer cavities that captured light. The cavities were "pits" between the gold nanoparticles and the mirror. Molecules of colored dye were placed inside the wells.

A separate problem was the correct positioning of the dye molecules. They preferred to lie flat on the gold, and the scientists needed to sort of put them up. This difficulty was overcome in this way: they enclosed the dye in empty barrel-shaped molecular cages called cucurbiturils, which held the dye molecules in the desired straight position.

By connecting the structure, the molecular scattering spectrum was divided into two separate quantum states, which indicated that a mixture of a molecule and a photon was obtained. It takes a photon less than a trillionth of a second to return to the molecule. Thus, scientists have shown that a strong adhesion of light and matter is possible for one molecule, even with a large absorption of light in the metal, and at room temperature.
