Focus Description:

An assistant is needed to perform the trick. There are three cards with marks on the table: "3", "4", "5". Three people come up to the table and each takes one of the cards and shows it to the magician's assistant. The "magician", without looking, must guess who took what. The assistant tells him: "Guess" and the "magician" calls who has which card.

Focus secret:

Consider the possible options. Cards can be arranged as follows:

3, 4, 5 4, 3, 5 5, 3, 4
3, 5, 4 4, 5, 3 5, 4, 3

Since the assistant sees which card each person took, he will help the "magician". To do this, you need to remember 6 signals.

We number six cases:

First - 3, 4, 5
Second - 3, 5, 4
Third - 4, 3, 5
Fourth - 4, 5, 3
Fifth - 5, 3, 4
Sixth - 5, 4, 3
If the case is the first, then the assistant says: "Done!"
If the second case - then: "So, ready!"
If the third case - then: "Guess!"
If the fourth - then: "So, guess!"
If the fifth - then: "Guess!"
If the sixth - then: "So, guess!".

Thus, if the option starts with the number 3, then “Done!”, If with the number 4, then “Guess!”, If with the number 5, then “Guess!”, And the students take the cards in turn.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

New generation of OctaBus memory interface 08.11.2016

Macronix has introduced a new generation of OctaBus memory interface. According to the manufacturer, the development is well suited for IoT and automotive electronics. A small number of pins - 12 - allows you to simplify the device diagram and the topology of the printed circuit board, and reduce their cost. At the same time, high performance is maintained.

Macronix OctaBus memory subsystem will be offered in three main product lines
The original version of OctaFlash, introduced in 2015, provided a data transfer rate of 400 MB/s using eight lanes. The new option is suitable not only for Serial NOR flash memory (OctaFlash), but also for RAM (OctaRAM). The use of a bus with common I/O lines simplifies the design and unifies printed circuit boards. OctaRAM is said to provide performance comparable to DDR2.

One of the strengths of the OctaBus implementation is the simplification of MCP products that combine different types of memory chips. The use of separate buses makes it necessary to increase the number of pins in the BGA package, which requires an increase in the package itself. According to the manufacturer, the transition to OctaBus has reduced the size of a typical case from 9 x 9 mm to 6 x 8 mm.

The Macronix OctaBus memory subsystem will be offered in three main product lines. These are OctaFlash flash memory chips with a density from 256 Mb to 2 Gb, OctaRAM memory chips with a density from 32 Mb to 128 Gb, and OctaMCP modules, including 512 Mb of OctaFlash memory and 64 Mb of OctaRAM memory.
