Focus Description:

Three separate cubes measuring 12 x 12 x 12 cm, made of plywood, put one on top of the other. Remove the top cube, under it will be the top of the bottle. Following the top cube, remove the next one through the neck of the bottle, and then pull it out of the bottom cube completely. How did a whole one and a half liter plastic bottle end up in cubes?

Focus secret:

The secret of the trick is in a collapsible bottle, consisting of three identical parts, and three specially designed and different cubes. In the bottom of the upper cube and in the upper face of the lower cube, round holes are made of such a size that they exactly fit the upper and lower parts of the bottle, which must be the same height as the cubes. The middle cube is through on both sides (Fig. a).

A whole plastic bottle is cut lengthwise into three equal parts. From below in its upper part and from above - in the lower part - plywood circles are inserted, on the outside of each of which thin metal circles of exactly the same diameter are glued. On both sides of the middle part of the bottle, the same plywood mugs are fixed, to which mugs of elastic material with a magnetic layer are glued on the outside (Fig. b).

These plywood "plugs" are painted in the color of the cubes, so that each individual cube with the individual parts of the bottle inserted into it seems completely intact and does not betray their presence inside.

The middle part of the collapsible bottle is completely sealed on the outside with a corresponding paper label, which, in turn, masks from the audience that the bottle is collapsible. In one of the side faces of the middle cube (opposite from the audience), a centimeter hole can be made (Fig. a), through which the hidden bottle part can be held so that it does not accidentally fall out of the cube prematurely.

Place the cubes with matching sides facing each other. Bottle parts with the help of a magnetic layer will be connected into one continuous bottle (Fig.b).

Now it remains only to disassemble the cubes and demonstrate the "whole" plastic bottle. It is better to hold it by the middle part and not strongly tilt it to the sides so that the parts of the bottle do not move and do not disturb the focus effect.
