Focus Description:

This trick is based on the so-called rhythmic version of "mind reading", for which you will need an assistant.

Focus secret:

To successfully master this trick, you will have to learn how to simultaneously count in your mind from 1 to 10 so that when the count is interrupted, you will stop at the same number. You should count not "one - two - three", but "twenty one - twenty two", etc.: the pronunciation of two-digit numbers is more rhythmic, and it will be easier for you to master a skill that is not so simple.

Walk up to someone in the audience, holding a slate board and a piece of chalk, and ask him to whisper any multi-digit number to you. Suppose he whispers the number 65 to you. Write it down and say it clearly and distinctly:

- Thanks! - This will be a sign to your assistant to start counting.

And immediately mentally begin to count: "21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26". Having reached 26 (actually it is 6), put your piece of chalk on the board with a small knock, understandable to the assistant - this will be his signal "Stop!" After a short pause, he will say:

- The first digit in the planned number is six!

As soon as the number is spoken, both of you must start counting again. Having reached 25, again give a sign to stop, but now in a different way: start writing the first number called on the board - 6. The assistant will again hear the sound of chalk on the board, interrupt the count and after a pause say:

- The second number is 5! - And immediately the mental count should have begun again, but at this moment you immediately write the second figure, and he, noticing this, will say:

- The next number is 1!

Then both mentally count up to 24, and you immediately write down the last two digits at once - 1 and 4, and the assistant, having heard this and realizing that there is no more count, after a pause, will call the last digit of the number - 0.

For the best design, first point out to the audience that you are not touching your "medium", do not approach him, and do not even talk. Moreover, you can invite several viewers to stand around him and control the focus.
