I bring to the attention of readers a simple transmitter of video programs. It can be connected to any VCR or computer via the bass output. The transmitter operates in the meter range (channel 5 ... 9), the supply voltage is 4,5 ... 6 V. The transmitter circuit is shown in fig. one.

On the transistor VT1, a mixer-oscillator with an FM audio frequency conversion of 5,5 MHz (6,5 MHz) is assembled. The local oscillator frequency depends on the capacitances C4, C5 and inductances L1, L2. On VT2, a carrier local oscillator is made, the frequency of which depends on the choice of the television channel. Ha R12 mixes the video signal, FM audio and the carrier of the desired channel. Further on VT3 the signal is amplified and transmitted to the antenna.

The required level of 3H is set by resistor R1. LI, L2 are wound on a coil from an imported radio receiver, in which the tuning element is a ferrite cup. L1 contains 23 turns of PEL-0,1 wire; L2 - 24 turns of the same wire.

L3, L5 are wound on a 4 mm mandrel and contain 5 turns of PEL-0,35 wire. L4 - mandrel 4 mm, contains 4 turns of PEL-0,35 wire, wound round to round. After tuning, it is desirable to fill this coil with paraffin. As an antenna, you can use a piece of copper wire 20 ... 50 cm long or a telescopic antenna from any radio receiver.

Figure 2 shows the printed circuit board of the transmitter. In Fig.3, the location of the elements.

With proper assembly, the design begins to work immediately. When you turn on the TV, you need to tune it to the desired channel (in my case, TV-6). The setting is made by elements C 13 and L4. Next, you need to configure the elements L1, L2 (C3) of the audio carrier for better reception of the audio signal by the TV.

If it seems to you that the transmitter power is insufficient, you can assemble the amplifier circuit shown in Fig. 4. Only in this case it will be necessary to change the drawing of the printed circuit board and install a tuning capacitor instead of C14, which will later be tuned to resonance to the maximum of the transmitted signal. Additional information on tuning this cascade is given in [1]. In conclusion, I want to note that this transmitter was tested on TVs of the 4th and 5th generations and showed good results. Its power is quite enough for an apartment. The range is 5 ... 8 m, it can be increased by using an additional PA cascade.

Alcohol content of warm beer 07.05.2024

Beer, as one of the most common alcoholic drinks, has its own unique taste, which can change depending on the temperature of consumption. A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The study, led by materials scientist Lei Jiang, found that at different temperatures, ethanol and water molecules form different types of clusters, which affects the perception of alcoholic taste. At low temperatures, more pyramid-like clusters form, which reduces the pungency of the "ethanol" taste and makes the drink taste less alcoholic. On the contrary, as the temperature increases, the clusters become more chain-like, resulting in a more pronounced alcoholic taste. This explains why the taste of some alcoholic drinks, such as baijiu, can change depending on temperature. The data obtained opens up new prospects for beverage manufacturers, ... >>

Major risk factor for gambling addiction 07.05.2024

Computer games are becoming an increasingly popular form of entertainment among teenagers, but the associated risk of gaming addiction remains a significant problem. American scientists conducted a study to determine the main factors contributing to this addiction and offer recommendations for its prevention. Over the course of six years, 385 teenagers were followed to find out what factors may predispose them to gambling addiction. The results showed that 90% of study participants were not at risk of addiction, while 10% became gambling addicts. It turned out that the key factor in the onset of gambling addiction is a low level of prosocial behavior. Teenagers with a low level of prosocial behavior do not show interest in the help and support of others, which can lead to a loss of contact with the real world and a deepening dependence on virtual reality offered by computer games. Based on these results, scientists ... >>

Traffic noise delays the growth of chicks 06.05.2024

The sounds that surround us in modern cities are becoming increasingly piercing. However, few people think about how this noise affects the animal world, especially such delicate creatures as chicks that have not yet hatched from their eggs. Recent research is shedding light on this issue, indicating serious consequences for their development and survival. Scientists have found that exposure of zebra diamondback chicks to traffic noise can cause serious disruption to their development. Experiments have shown that noise pollution can significantly delay their hatching, and those chicks that do emerge face a number of health-promoting problems. The researchers also found that the negative effects of noise pollution extend into the adult birds. Reduced chances of reproduction and decreased fertility indicate the long-term effects that traffic noise has on wildlife. The study results highlight the need ... >>

The benefits of sleeping during work hours 16.08.2002

A study on sleep during working hours was carried out by physiologists from Harvard University.

A group of 30 volunteers were asked four times a day - at 9 am, at noon, at 4 and 7 pm - to find an inconspicuous detail in a drawing on a computer screen, the position of which changed each time. Ten test subjects did not sleep all day, and by the evening the detection of the desired part had slowed down by 52 percent. The other ten were allowed to sleep for half an hour at two in the afternoon. Their reaction time did not increase in the evening. Ten more slept in the middle of the day for an hour - their results improved by the evening.

A dozen more volunteers were invited, they were not allowed to sleep, but simply to rest. It did nothing to increase their vigilance. Scientists have found a theoretical explanation for such results. Our ancestors, primates, inhabitants of hot tropical countries, are mainly crepuscular animals, they are especially active at dusk, in the evening and in the early morning. And in the middle of the day, at the hottest time, they sleep under the canopy of dense crowns.

So, demand from your superiors to start a dormitory at work and increase the lunch break by an hour.
